Im having an issue where im running in my server we are setting up for a roleplay setting. my faction will be neutral and basically gods as we are playing in creative while everyone else will be in survival. If you get farther than about 1LS from the reactor it shuts down, sadly we are trying to use this for FTL comms. Im messing with various workarounds but I figured id mention it if the dev ever has the time to mess with it. Other than that its a fantastic mod

It works just in survival you need to put uranium in it it takes 0.1 then no more and just runs

this works as a good survival rp and I love this reactor it wood be cool tho if it was 999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 Yottawatts or the highest SE could have that's allowed

It works in creative, but you have to put uranium in it for it to work in survival.

I cannot seem to get it to work/run. I place it and it says max power is 10... GW power output but it doesn't produce anything power related.

The Creactor is an awesome af addition to any ship. In fact so awesome it gets to a piont where it needs to be implemented in Space Engineers Vanilla in Creative Mode. I rate it a rlly strong 9263 bazillion/10

Is it possible to have this updated to hold a LOT more uranium so if the game isn't in creative mode it can be loaded with enough fuel to stop the "fuel low" messages?

Alright, but you should check out Prof.Liebstrumpf's mod for admin ship/stuff that uses a unique resource (Admin Coin) and maybe asking him for help might speed this process up quite a bit.

Ok, but since the new update came out, new and faster weilders/grinders have come out with about 3-6X the rate, so a massive time to build/wield is not going to be as much of a hassle for people unless a spawn-only resource that can't be gained back by grinding is used.

Hi - yeah would've probably been a better idea to add a component like that. But it's much simpler just to increase the building time. I don't have a lot of time right now but might be doing something in that direction in a week or so.

Problem is that mass is calculated after ingredients, means that stupid expensive equals stupid heavy.

Well, the secret to building in survival is 5 welders. The reason not six is because you need a side to keep it on your ship. Took just under three hours. Honestly, you should of just made it stupid expensive to build and not bothered with time.

i once made a ship which, since the skybox had darker than normal shadows, had to have dozens of dozens of lights. after a while, the gravity would suddenly just stop and all the lights shut down. turned out the generator was being overloaded.

The only thing that I have seen the vanilla reactors (in creative) overload and wont produce enough power for is the spherical grav gen, any other time it goes to overload it still provides the power needed for you to keep going. Not bashing your work, it is nice not to have to worry about the overload message at all. :

That's wrong. They have a maximum power output which you can measure with the physical unit (Mega)Watt (1W = 1J/s). If your systems require too much power per timestep this will cause an overload. Yes, the default reactor puts out energy even if the reactor doesn't contain any uranium, but the wattage is limited. You could need more than one default reactor. The creative reactor puts out so much power per timestep that you almost can't fully use its potential.
