Can someone tell me how to add characters? My game crashes every time and I can't see them in the character selection screen.

Heather was top notch. It was because of her I was able to unlock Wes, which is entirely luck based in regards of getting his map in the "Campaign".

I know it's been a long time, but is Heather ever going to be updated to Shipwrecked?
I really do miss being able to play as her.

Same here, cant go into ROG with her anymore, just goes strraight to wilson

I have hit a gllitch with the mod, as of 3/5/16 every time I attempt to load heather for Reign of Giants it loads Wilson instead.

Please add her to Shipwrecked <3

Personally, I really liked Heather. The W or M names be damned.

Also, I'm kicking myself, because I realized just a few weeks ago I could have named her Morgan. Grr.

Eh, it's been almost a year. Might as well spill the beans now.

While she as a character was floating around in my head long before I played this game, as far as backstory goes, for Don't Starve, hers is essentially thus: In the real world, she was a terminal patient with a brain tumor. Out of options, she made a deal with Maxwell, who transported her to DontStarveville, where the wonky physics of the world turned her affliction into an advantage.

Alrighty. It happens this is my favorite character for the game. I've logged almost 85% of my play time as her. It's a shame I won't be able to start my adventures into the new expansion with her while it's early access, but C'est La Vie.
While I'm here I would like to say she produces an amazing playstyle. Much higher energy than any of the other characters I've used. You spend a lot more time gathering food and a lot less time baseminding. Her speed and regeneration let you keep up with her hunger. In compensation for her powerful abilities of course she has very limited use from meat effigies.
She also has an interesting story, though I want to know more about your original idea behind her story than is present in the game (yeah, I've done everything short of beat adventure mode with her and loved every minute).
That you may update her to the new expansion when it reaches full release only makes me anticipate that day even more.

I'LL TAKE 20!

The game won't read the Heather mod when I try and reload my save file. It is as if the mod was not enabled for the first 32 days, where I played as Heather it thinks I have played the whole game so far as Wilson.

Any tips?

First of all, congratz for this amazing mod!! i realllly love this character. The problem i found is, when you create a Meat Effigy for her, the hunger decrease like crazy, since the script keep forceing to regenerate health where M. Effigy took it...so the character is a bit umplayable after you setup first Effigy :( Can you fix this?

I discovered this character's greatest disadvantage recently. Meat effigys reduce max health. Reduce that below a regen threshhold and suddenly you're starving to death almost all the time.
It means you have to be really, really careful about not dying.

i enjoy both of your mods wondering if you could do a slight retexture/rework to make i female titan character ?

So uhh, just looking at the character pcs and thought I should say this. I belive the tune goes like this, "Sie sind das essen? Nein, wir sind der jaeger!" Otherwise looks neat.

I see in the patch notes that you changed her attack and i did take a look at her code to see what was that about, but i think you forgot to change the description accordingly. Also, since you took time on explaining her the whole "muscle tearing making you stronger" which explained her fixed x1.2 attack power, how do you explain her increase and decrease in attack power with the new system?

This character. OMG...

ive already spent more time playing heather than any character based on days played. someitmes the best things are direct and focused. heathers mobility combined with regenerative system make her my personal choice for a character nowadays.

usually im incredibly partial to characters with "pet" systems instead, but Heather is BY FAR my combat character of choice. i wish i could make her run even faster! mayeb if she had her own unique items, but seriously... far as i can tell, she is just amazing as she is.

Why does she almost look like a Titan?

So, if i had to guess on the backstory for Heather. Judging by her dialogues she's a little too educated on both history and pop culture. If i have to guess, maybe she was some sort of geek scientist before whatever incident that caused her mutation.

The rest is scouring the code of both the base game and other mods for code that does stuff similar to what you want to do.

As for general tips? You need a lot of patience, and a lot of time (this stuff takes a long time, especially when just learning the ropes). Also, don't upload anything until you're finished with it; generally, nobody's going to download an unfinished mod.
