Yo, sorry you're having trouble with that part. I made this a long time ago in middle school lol, but looking at the hints I wrote the trick is that its important to make your first portal so that the bottom of it is facing the door. The game ends after that so you're not missing much, sry its kind of janky. Maybe one day I'll try to remake these old maps

Hi graphic_m! My best attempt at describing how to get into the vent after the lasers and turrets is in the hints part of the description (hint #2), but feel free to tell me if that doesn't help. :2016popsicle:

Thanks for your comment! To get past the turrets, you simply need to portal behind them before they start shooting. I recomend using the panel to the left of the turrets. Also, there should be a small wall to hide behind infront of the turrets. Feel free to comment is this does not help.

Also, I plan to make more Portal maps this summer.

Here's a comment: I can't get past the room immediately after the lasers. I hear people talk about "boxes" and "elevator shafts" but I don't see any of that. All I see is three turrets that kill me instantly when I portal past the broken glass

Screenshot 1 vert_door has a shiny reflection as well as the trophies.
Did you purposely want a bright or glossy appearance or did you accidently rename your compiled bsp before publishing? (that would cause the bright reflection)?
Also sometimes if there's a space between your vmf name and you compile the map it can cause that to, but it's only noticeable after the map has been publish, not before, same as renaming your bsp.

Screenshot 2 I liked figuring out the jump into the ductwork, good job putting that area and puzzle together.

Even though the map was very gloomy (it could of use a lot more lighting, but to each their own) I found this map very fun and appealing, oh and the train ride was awesome... thumbs up!

Unfortunately I can't play vilify II sequel, i'm not sure why i'm experiencing in-game lag!

Ok, after some you tube tutorials I know know what cubemaps are and will add them in my other maps. Also, I played my map on an Apple computor for the first time, and it was very dark; so that is may be why your map was so dark Mr. Cromley. Next map coming out soon!

Thank you Mr. Crowley for your honesty. I have no clue why my map showed up so dark on your computer, and would like it if any one else who expearences this problem to comment about it. Furthermore, I will work harder on texturing in the second map of Villify (Especially around corners and doorways); but I have no clue what a cubemap is.

Oh, and I played your Another 60 Dollers maps, was there a Half Life Two gnome in the second? They were both extreamly well done. The elevator killed me in the second one. Lastly, I've noticed that, in my map, my ominous music stops if you die. If anyone could help me annoy people further with my repetitive music I would be a happy waffle. As always I want more comments, Garlic out.

The map is quite interesting with a plain old scenerio which was done more or less good. You can realy see the potential in wanting to make the idea with the way you played around with the cameras and some ( and i mean realy only few) sceneries. But there wasn't hardly any polishing done and it looked like the problems in the map were not even touched. Like basic lighting, no cubemaps, texture work and many other things.

From the screenshots I can see that it was mid lighted, but when I was playing it was total darkness, it was hard to tell about the scenery. Probably you hyped your brightness a bit.

I am guessing this is one of your first works and it is done decently good. But realy, you shouldn't rush your map like this, not everyone likes a unfished work.

All in all, realy nice job.

i found the easter egg while nocliping. its a cake and radio. . the door out is only one way and i havent found any normal way to get in.

your map is extremely difficult. First i encountered those lasers, where turrets came all over the place while i was about to take the portal gun , i died about 20 times, and then comes the impossible puzzle, where i just cannot figure out how to make it into the narrow opening, where the box is. im stuck there..... it may be due to my not being able to find out though
