These things costs nearly a hundred silver a piece.
TryMakePreToilReservations() returned false for a non-queued job right after StartJob(). This should have been checked before. pawn = Noah, curJob = PS_BringToProcessor (Job_10354813) A = Thing_VCE_BakeryOven_Electric4576426 Giver = JobGiver_Work [workGiverDef: PS_BringToProcessor]

That's called hard tack, and there's actually a hard tack Mod on the Workshop already.
...
jk, awesome stuff as always
Although my dumb as red "Vanilla Cooking Expanded – Decorative Baking" and thought we're finally gonna get food props
The silver cost is generally tied to the opportunity cost to keep the game balanced. The reason sugar is so expensive in silver is because it takes so long for a sugarcane plant to mature and yield its 2 sugar (aka opportunity cost).
Let me be clear, for a gourmet and lavish confectionary, the sugar cost is perfectly fine and justified. There's just no use case for simple confectionary to be economically justified because the sugar cost is so high that it doesn't warrant its use.
I don't want the gourmet and lavish confectionaries to be cheaper, they are actually in a perfect balance spot imho. It's the simple confectionary and fine confectionary that are in an awkward spot where there is very little use for them.
Simple Confectionary = 121 silver for the sugar, 80 silver for the flour, total 201 / 4 = ~50 silver a piece
Lavish Confectionary = 201 silver, 38 silver for the milk and 44 silver for the vegetables, total 283 / 4 = ~71 silver a piece
Gourmet Confectionary = 283 silver + 12 silver (assuming more sugar lol) = 295 = ~73 silver.
The majority of the cost of confectionaries goes to sugar by a large margin, this makes simple confectionaries a waste of sugar. You're much better off just going straight for gourmet.
a 5x5 field of sugarcane would yield enough sugar for about 1 confectionary per day with the current sugar costs regardless of confectionary quality.
The gourmet version takes less time to produce than the fine and lavish due to a low tick rate for it to process (probably oversight)
Sugar costs are too high for simple / fine confectionaries imho. Otherwise they are fine for the lavish / gourmet versions.
Its not mentioned anywhere & i doubt somehow making meat-alternatives would be popular.
Thanks!
