@SpaceDorf, do you have Gunplay enabled in your modlist? It increases projectile speed, which interferes with shrapnel calculations. If so, you can set projectile speed back to 100% in the Gunplay settings to fix this.

Follow up. The Inferno Bolt produces a black tile textute failure on impact.
I am willing to fault firing them in space though

Now after having researched the Bolt Upgraded : Metal Storm Bolts do not work. Or at least not as intended I guess.
They Splinter very nicely like some kind of shotgun blast, but way to early.
The Bolter is using its standard Range for aiming and firing but the shrapnel only reaches half the distance. So the enemy sits comfortably out of reach while I shoot at the ground

yes they did and my friendly fire incidents have gone done significantly.
Now you can change the Ammotype of the Bolter once researched

Did you change the Bolters? They seem to have lost their AOE/Explosive ammo. Suddenly a swarm of tribals are making me THEIR dinner instead.

I instantly checked my firstborn.
No penalty. Mk VII and X Armor.
If you check the Armor in inventory the penalty is shown, in the infocard it is not

As of today, my firstborne marine got a -3 move speed debuff, at first I thought i was some mod incompatibillity, but i tried to run this bare bones and it was still there, I tired to spawn a few primaris marines and they had this -3 as well. it looks like black carapace doesn't negate power armor speed penalty anymore for some reason.

@ChronicBordem @CaptCarnage @Kittens Regarding missing bills after the "Advanced Protein Substitution" research, do you have ReplaceLib in your modlists? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3417393194 it was confirmed causing the disappearance of bills on the genetic manipulation table

Hey so, is there any intentions to add more legion specific decorations? Also you mentioned a Heresy Module upcoming, will that include II, III, IV and V power armor marks?

You need a Apothecary Ranked Marine which gives the ability to extract Geneseed from dead Marines.
Either gives you 50% bonus to the action.
else it is just ranged or melee
And you need the extraction research

The mod, machines, genes, and rank work fine for me after 6 resubscribes. The equipment however refuses to render armor and bolters simply do not show.They default back to a purple box when equipped. Otherwise stable and engaging if you equip marine/ cataphract armor.

I also madly respect your team. update worked great. Bolters and Chainsword still work, I love the option for different Ammo Types ( my chain patch for the chainswords also still works :) )

Gonna repost this comment here in case it helps anyone else:
Had an issue when loading up the mod today, red lines showed up on game bootup and loading in a normal save failed as well.
Simple solution from my end: Opened up Mod list, moved Rimdark - Framework from the left side to the right side, put it directly above the Rimdark mod, let the game reboot itself, and had no issues with red text on startup and was able to load into my last save.
The new weapons look interesting, cheers.:steamthumbsup:

Your mod is breaking mod list and causes all mods to be disabled cant enable anything will subscribed to your mods even after having it for a while

Verify files to make sure both mods get updated properly.
The frameworkd PackageId changed due to neccesity so it will say that the framework is being added and removed - dont worry about that it doesnt matter.

Only thing that are potentially broken are weapons due to the changes needed to get them to work, make new ones or spawn new ones in should be fine.

If you have any other problem use the discord, more people are active and looking there ready to help.

Do other factions or randoms have a chance to also be space marines or am I just turbo-too-strong by trying to outfit my colony as gene marines? Do I ever have a chance of having to fight other super soldiers?

@Bomoth, steam workshop had a hiccup delivering latest version of Framework. This should be fixed now. If you're still having the issue try unsubing/resubing or checking the file integrity of Rimworld
