While I do believe the intro to the taunt was shorter for a good killcam setup, the way you characterized the mercs so faithfully is a breath of fresh air. The most underrated one of them being Sniper's; it gives a pure coldness in how he carries himself that works immensely well with his " professional assassin " background.

great work on all of em! my least favorite is probably demo (which kinda sucks cus I'm a demo main) but even that is still like 4/10. 8/10 taunt. good job.

i like this taunt a lot, it works to cap points and kill your enemies because at the end, is a territory control game, so rising your flag after defeating the enemy is kind of poetic.

If dancing is acceptable as a "taunt" because it CAN be used in a taunting way, why can't raising your team's flag in victory also be considered a taunt? It seems more likely to me that conga dancing is exempt from the emote label because it was added to the game 11 years ago-- it doesn't really align with the worsening quality control narrative.

I feel like "taunt" is sort of a legacy term, in TF2 it hasn't exclusively meant "taunt your enemy" for over a decade, but this particular taunt is an extremely classical declaration of "we win, you lose".

this is emote, not a taunt. doesn't belong in the game but unfortunately most tf2 players don't really care about quality control so this'll likely end up in the game regardless.

else, i love this taunt! it is so beutiful

by the love of god, either make it so you can use a decal tool for the flag.... OR make a alternative style where it changes to the flags to the chracters who use the taunt (All 1960-1970 flag versions)

sad my main, heavy, always is the most lame in these all class cosmetics but i fucking love what you did with Demo, Pyro and Scout

Idea:
Every Merc also has their own version of the flag

Scout: Simple metal rod with a plastic-like material flag
Soldier: Traditional flag with fine and refined fabric, bonus points if it has a small America flag abvove it
Pyro: The current model fits him well already, but could use a more scrap-like pole

Demoman: A medieval flag with the fabric somewhat ripped at it's end, bonus points if he uses the sword as the pole if he has it equipped
Heavy: Wooden pole with the top of the Moscow Cathedral as an ornament
Engineer: Telescoping self-deploying flag akin to that of Kerbal Space Program, bonus points if he wacks it in a bit with the wrench after placing

Medic: Metal pole flag with a flairing spike ornament on top, kinda like a spear
Sniper: Comically long stick with the flag knotted to it like a towel
Spy: The most refined of all, premium vibrant fabric for the flag with some flair to the pattern itself, custom ornament on the pole top, with the handle sporting comfortable grips
