Children Can Learn Fast
Childrens' Traits Affect Learning

Are these hard/soft incompatabilites, a mis-tag, or "Built In"?

no, they don't move in gravtech research on 1.6
I'll explain the problem I had.
I had to reinstall RimWorld and all my mods.
When I started my first game, the "space furniture" research option was no longer available. It became available again after I obtained the "gravtech" technology.
Then I started a new game, and this time, the "space furniture" technology was available from the beginning. I then started several more games, and the "space furniture" research option was sometimes available and sometimes unavailable. And when it was unavailable, sometimes when I unlocked the "gravtech" research option, the "space furniture" research option didn't appear. I should mention that I often start new games when I install and uninstall mods.

@l_inverse that is not an incompatibility, the patch just moved the furniture to gravtec research

hello, just to report that "RutraNickers' Compatibility Patches" is incompatible with space base furniture because is removed the research "space furniture"

Just an update: I'm not dead lol. Progress converting the code to use XML Exntensions instead of VEF was very slow in the last few months since I wasn't playing the game, but now I'm hyped about Rimworld again, so I expect to finish this before 2026. Currently I'm ~36% finished, with almost all the progress coming from last week. The change in framework gave me more liberty in setting a proper, honest to God settings page. I wish I had written this mod using XML Extensions from the start, things would be a lot better. My priorities at the moment are learning the framework and just converting the code. Expect no major changes besides the menu appearance, some code reordering and dividing one or two options in more detailed choices when 3.0 comes out.

I was able to fix this issue below. So within the steamworkshop ID, 1.6\RutraChanges\Biotech\PersonalXenotypes.xm,

Within PersonalXenotypes.xm:

You have to change

<Operation Class="PatchOperationFindMod">
<mods><li>AFU Cosmetic Gene Expanded</li></mods>

to

<Operation Class="PatchOperationFindMod">
<mods><li>JintuziLamian.Gene.XenoCosmetic</li></mods>

Because the packageID is wrong.

It seems like it's not detecting AFUCosmetic Patches correctly. I have it above this mod in the mod order and it states that it can't find it. Is it trying to reference an older version or something for 1.6?

@Shinzou thanks for the info! I didn't put the "ü" because I wanted to be more font universal in case someone uses a font that doesn't have this letter, but I really did mispelled it with the T. I'll remove it in my next update.

Great Mod, just noticed that you maybe spelled a xenotype the Natchfurst wrong, if i may. I think you meant to call them the German word for night count, which would be Nachtfürst... but otherwise love what you have done here.

@LetTheMossReclaimYou if you preffer the Better Transumanist version better, you can just ignore the error, add that mod to your modlist and deactivate my patch in the Vanilla Expanded Framework configurations.

@LetTheMossReclaimYou I have added a similar patch of my own. I probably forgot to add in the post, but you can find my version of better transumanist in [this mod folder]/1.6/RutraChanges/Core/Patches/CoreTweaks.xml . The key differences are a smoother mood curve, different descriptions and a tier higher.

I'm not sure if this is accurate, but RimSort is throwing a warning that this mod is incompatible with Epicguru's Better Transhumanists. Looking through the features list for this mod, I'm not seeing offhand what the reason for that is. Is this a known issue? Is it fixable?

Hey people, I found a problem with using the Vanilla Expanded Framework for configuration: If you have too much toggles, the framework will stop showing some of them. Since I have reached this treshold, I will start rewriting this mod to use XML Extensions instead.

@xsebikx2208 don't worry, mate, it's my fault. I replicated the error in my system and it is trying to delete something that was already deleted. It's harmless, so you don't need to change anything. Next update it will get patched.

@xsebikx2208 it would be good. It would also be good if you tell me if this error happened when loading a save or if it happened at game launch. would also be great to know your modlist. I recently applied a patch to delete my xenotypes if the necessary gene mods necessary for them to work as intented aren't loaded, so it will not work on saved games where you activated them without the proper mods loaded.

Updated to 1.6. Since the Vanilla Expanded folks renamed their dll, the update took more time than I thought it would. If anyone find a red error, please do tell me.

The option to disable the beauty genes patch only appears if Psycast Integration is in the mod list (you use a nomatch, as with the VPE patch). Is it your intent ?

[BIG UPDATE] Now you can toggle the patches! Only downside is that it now needs Vanilla Expanded Framework, but almost everyone is using it in their modlists anyways so why not?
