All of my modded weapons (including yours) won't work id they aren't a turret any ideas? Ps no hate the mods look great.

Right, over the past week or so I've isolated the problem, learned the tools all over again, reworked my meshes slightly, FIXED the problem, and now have a working production version. Over the course of the next day or so, I'll iron out the kinks and polish the paintwork and hopefully, all going well, we'll have not only functioning, but also updated CSD mods once more. I deeply appreciate the support I've been given, it's beyond encouraging to see that people appreciate my work. Thanks to everyone who's been patient with me about this. Cheers!

Also there was a huge update not too long ago to space engineers.
That's could be a reason why I can't place any CSD mods anywhere.

I do like these CSD weapons, but I think it needs a fix because I can't place them anywhere regardless if i'm just using just 1 CSD mod or any other mod.
If you can't fix it, have someone else do it for you.
P.S Will there be another CSD mod?

Ninja, your mods are currently working just fine for me so far. This is still the best 'aftermarket' weapons pack available right now. You should speak to SEModder4 about maintaining this mod for you, he may be willing as he is still very active in SE. If this is a road you'd consider pursuing I can ask him for you.

I hope you'll add more mods similar to your battlecannon. That tank cannon is very useful to me for making realistic looking tanks.

The construction material balance here is really the ammunition cost. The 8.8cm HEKC shell, for example, is prohibitively expensive. It'll burn through your resources for little return. The scattercannon isn't necessarily expensive, but (as far as I remember) you need a diverse variety of materials that might not be readily available.

Nice mods, but they still theyre too cheap to build in survival, ammunition cost is decent tho.

I've had some run-of-the-mill comments on some of my mods recently, nothing about crashes, just the regular user questions. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say these mods aren't causing issues anymore.

Aw shit. Look, folks, I don't really have the inclination to spend the requisite time and effort to do frankly anything with these mods. I made them once, they were well received, and they've been nothing but a massive ball-ache and a timesink since then.

I don't even play SE anymore. Embarassing as it is to admit, my system can't handle the game since planets were dropped in. Please understand that it is at best unreasonable to expect me to update these mods under the circumstances.

I'll see if I can find a diligent SE modder who'll take the files off my hands and do whatever with them.

Hey man im also having the same problem as Tye Dye Guy. The game is continually crashing after this last update that space engineers had. I really love all of these mods and would really like it if these would start to work. Please give us a hand.

@NinjaPirate You could, atleast, try it out yourself and see if it happens to you to verify that either both of your games are broken or if the mod actually needs an update

Hello there!

On a your CSD weapons (Autocannon, scattercannon, battlecannon etc) my game now crashes after some firing, especially the scattercannon. The crashing happens with great frequency especially after the last update (they changed the API a lot). This is a shame because these are my favorite small ship weapons in the game, but now it is unfeasable to use them because of the crashing they cause.

I originally thought this problem was due to an AI mod that I had, but the modder and I traced it down to these weapons.

@NinjaPirate well TBH it is already okay for me that they have DX11 support now. I dont really care if its not using all DX11 features, I just want a cannon I can aim myself with, long range, bullet projectile (no missiles), and good amount of damage.

I had them abandond after DX11 came out because I dont want black cannons on my ship that do not fit the colours at all, but now since that has been fixed I can finally work with them again.

Srsly, the Battlecannon is just great for everything.

I can see why, it's just not worth the effort trying to make new models and textures to match the new aesthetic standard. Initially, SE had a quaint blocked-out kind of look, simple geometry and block-shaded colour palette. This was pretty easy to replicate and mimic - my mods fit in quite nicely. But now that the standard is studio-quality game-ready assets with fully mapped diffuse and normal textures, it takes more time and effort than it's worth. This is primarily because my work here is worth precisely nothing - I don't get paid to do any of this.

All mods bar one (Afterburner) are now DX11 compatible. The afterburner is redundant and will be reworked to make use of fuel-consumption mechanics.
