That was such a stupid "feature." I love my based mushroom men and I made a Mod of my own that prevents them from being retards that can't think (they just learn slower) and causing insta-vomit.

omg thank you for this. i have a fungoid in my medieval save and the vomit is driving me up the wall. its so bad ive thought about kicking him out for that reason alone lmao. the xenotype is very cool but the vomiting makes it almost unplayable too me it is just too annoying and theres no way to work around it. (believe me ive tried)

@exBenNN For this patch specifically, no as I feel the Repulsive gene thematically makes sense while also keeping the Xenotype balanced. But I'll look into releasing a new patch that just removes the vomiting gene for those that don't care about that.

This is exactly what I did in my personal patches! I also went further, though. I love Fungoids, so I wrote a Patch that made it so that the fungal infection didn't turn them into mindless, drooling retards without Skills. They aren't mindless zombies, at least not to me. I thought that was unfair and unbecoming of something so based.

glad to see this, always hated having to get rid of colonist when they got turned because of the constant vomit, like seriously we had a room of rotting corpses but your best friend turned fungus man is making you puke at a glance?

A fungoid isn't the best choice for a fellow colonist, but sometimes you take what you can get, and I don't want my pawns inhaling vomit-inducing spores every time jerry opens his rotten mouth

If you wish to experience the original mod's gameplay then you don't need to run this patch. This is simply for those who want to experience the Fungoid xenotype, but do not want to deal with the gameplay issues caused by pawns vomiting uncontrollably just because they spoke to one.

It would be one thing if they could slowly acclimatize themselves to the "stench" of the fungoid, but it's just constant vomiting forever, which really made them a pain to have as colonists and thus disincentivized you from ever actually experiencing the mod you downloaded.
