Re: Umberto II - I've started a similar thing to this for a variety of leaders who are lacking a bit of flavour, so keep an eye out for that!

Re: Russian (and other languages) - I don't know that many myself, but I will make an effort to provide at least rough localisations that will be open to feedback in due time!

Re: RT56 - Just had a check, and it isn't, sorry!

I believe it comes down to RT56 having their own event files for individual countries, which wouldn't normally be a problem if not for the fact both Wilhelm II and III are only granted through events. They exist in the leaders file, but only really as placeholders so they don't automatically take over if Germany becomes non-aligned, their traits are assigned, and they're appointed as leader, through the events file and, naturally, one file has to triumph over the other!

There might be another way for me to go about providing the traits that would be compatible, though I can't currently think of one off the top of my head. Will keep thinking though, and update as appropriate if I come up with something!

I'm still gonna have him die on the Hindenburg so his sister Victoria Louise can take over, but this is nice for the interim

Re: incompetent militarist - Fair points! Maybe incompetent wasn't quite the word I was looking for. I think I based my original view on his role surrounding the battle of Verdun (both politically and militarily) where he pushed a great deal for it. Though to his credit he is said to have begun doubting the worth of the push as the casualties grew, and did make good use of the lessons he learnt from the battle.

Perhaps overzealous is a better description of his style. I'm hesitant to say he was good still, since most of his command wasn't necessarily his own actions. But those that were tended to be characterised by almost a bulldozer-esque approach to problems with often mixed results.

It's something I'll think about, there's probably more to read somewhere but I do agree incompetent might be unfair!

From your description, he doesn't sound like an incompetent militarist. He sounds like he listened to his experts and did what they said. Which is kind of the opposite of incompetent, right? Also, accurately predicting the outcome of the war in 1914 sounds pretty competent.

will this be ironman compatible? I'm currently playing an ironman empire campaign and totally forgot about the death of Wilhelm II. If not I'll still play this but will just have to wait till I get back around to another empire campaign.

Although personally I dream of a modification that would significantly expand the issues of restoring the monarchy in Germany to the level that Poland has.
