This mod is outdated, causes considerable lag spikes after being placed. I think some people would really like to see this mod be revamped and optimized.

im used to there being some risk with this mod but every time i jump now any ships attached get smashed to bits, any way to prevent this?

I believe it's based on either the direction of the FTL drive, or the direction of the grid's main cockpit.

Oh also @Modemus, check out Blink Drive. It allows you to jump in gravity albeit at a much lower distance, also comes in small block, but it is configurable so you could adjust the jump distance if you'd like.

Is there any way I can change the material costs? It's way too cheap for my survival world for what it can do, was hoping to bump up the requirements by a lot.

The "recharge" timer is fake. Ignore it, it's not relevant to the mod.
That's a holdover from the vanilla dump drive.
Please pay attention to the detailed info, it says "Use the values below". The top portion is to be completely ignored.

this really needs to be updated and optimised. multiple days to recharge, and it drops my sim speed by 75% simply by being added to the mod list, nevermind using the actual block.

Honestly, if there was a way for you to take the ability to jump into natural gravity wells and apply it to vanilla drives, or if thats not possible, apply to any modded drives, that would be awesome. Our server uses JumpDrives+, and if they could also jump into natgrav that'd be awesome

man oh man ive been waiting for this update :D I need a jump drive that lets me jump in atmosphere so i can pull an Adama maneuver :)

Well this is good news!
I always loved being able to upgrade it, and most importantly, the fact that it would transport everything in the 'bubble' along with it, so you could be walking around inside or flying nearby and be taken along with the main ship.

I know the mod hasn't worked well for a while. I'll be resuming work on this next month.

This one's become a bit buggy, yes, but if it were fixed up to work correctly again, you can teleport the ship and all nearby objects in the bubble, such as people walking around inside and unattached vehicles.
Plus the upgrades add nice customization to your jump drive, being able to cancel a jump, and timer block integration makes for some really nice possibilities, beyond your basic jump drive.

After the latest update I keep crashing to desktop as soon as I initiate a jump. Looking through the crash log identified this mod as the cause. It said something about a bloom error.

Hmm i cant get it to jump to some cordinates can someone give me an explanation how to do it?

Soo there is an issue, where the drives only take 200kW in, even though the max input is set to 7MW for small or 200 MW for large grids. I'm looking through the power definitions in the scripts and I have no clue. Can't find hardcoded numbers or variables I could tweak and I really dont want to mess around with the power logic. Basically, the power input it gets should depend on the amount of reactors and ftl capacitors the drive recognizes? But it maxes out at 200kW no matter what blocks I place in what order. And I cannot Imagine that charge times between 12 hours and 5 days were intended for the mod. Otherwise everything is working great.

is it maybe possible to get the "Jumps all ships, floating objects, and players in the vicinity. Being seated is not required!" function as stand alone mod as normal cahnge to jumpdrives?

Beware, this thing does not have the safe guards a normal jump drive does, and will jump you into objects. After warning you, of course.

It works, but there's sometimes an issue where ships will fly off at max speed after interdiction. It only seems to happen on occasion, but it's still there. It also seems to be missing its awesome effects (Which Vanilla also does, now), so that sucks.

So a quick question, I see that this mod has not been updated in a while because the author is busy with RL (which is totally respectable, RL comes first) but I need to know; is this mod functional in the current version of the game? I want to be able to interdict my friends and say "hello" to them. Im not telling them that I am adding this mod so I will have the upper hand in the... "Suprise party" to which I am bringing "fireworks"... :D

I can upload a copy of the cubeblocks.sbc so you can see what changes I made, if you'd like. That's all I touched. Didn't touich the small ship blocks yet, Not sure how I want to balanece that for my server yet. But I did make everything absurdly expensive toi build. I gotta work for it If I wish to build this on my ship. I like makeing the cool mods expesnive to construct. Adds some nice difficulty to my private 2 man server

Hey, I'm trying to get ahold of you to ask permission to upload an edited verison I had to make to make this playable for me.
I Can't get the drive to charge so I lowered the amount needed to jump, takes about 2 solid hours. I also lowered the range upgrade multiplier and made it absurdly expensive to build. 250k plates, 10-20k off all other components. Madee the upgrades 100x more expensive as well. I'm using my hotfixed verison on my private server. But my servere manager will not download this eedited mod I set to friends only. It's a pin to switch to public for 10 seconds then back to private to be able to download.
I'm asking permission to make public so I can have an easier time using it. And encase someone else needs the bandade I through on there to make it usable. I'll to all the proper linkings and whatever else you demand of me.

I'm having an issue here. I can't get the FTL drive to take more than 200kw input. Says it'll take 5 days to charge. My system is outputting about 3.1 GW
Normal jump drives get their full input, but these wont.
I've tried adding a few caps and upgrades, nothing changes.
Can anyone help?

Does the power upgrade reduce the power required to jump at all? Or does it just reduce the power draw of the drive?

Anybody else getting massive sim speed slowdown from this mod? I added it to a world and it killed the sim speed without even using the block.
