As a further side note, a side effect of the collision being broken allows you to fly 'through' some of the models, this is highly inadviseable, as you will likely get 'stuck' inside the model, with only one arbitrarily determined side available as an exit. My guess is that for some reason Havok is interpreting the collision geometry inside-out, so impacts are being sensed for the 'inward-facing' side of the model.

Dx11 update done for real this time, it seems the converter doesn't handle models with multiple materials, it only converts the first one, and ignores the rest. Thankfully, it's all xml and i was able to hand-edit the corrections in.
As a side note, Keen has once again broken my collision models, so the blocks have no collision over most of them, and, possibly due to the same bug, larger blocks are difficult to place.

Ok, Dx11 update is done, some of the textures still look wrong, but as that seems to be a converter bug...
I'll fix them as soon as i can get my modelling software back up and running.
Photon Aggitators are craftable in the assembler.

To all those asking for Dx11, I'm working on it, but I lost one of the models source files, so it will take a bit. As for the photon aggitators, I think something got broken along the way, as I had those implemented, and now they're not... I will attempt to repair that, and if I can't, they will be removed from the required parts list.

the main gun's huge but I love it, if you could and have the time, please try your hand on a laser lance for small ships? it would make the mod complete ;) that being said, it's rather complete the way it is already, good work :)

Is there a chance you can make a minaturized version of the larger variant? I'm looking for something that's the size of the lance but has the general effect of the cannon. Something like the Thanix cannon from Mass Effect.

the laser lancer has an op issue. it needs some form of range nerf. i had several instanced of long range spamming with lancers in a large group slicing up my ship from 3,000 away.

I second Oz1k's suggestion for the visual them of the blocks.

I would even go so far as to suggest not needing any ammo, but placing a relatively high power output requirement per shot - as the main allure of lasers (other than the classic, if scientifically innacurate 'pewpew') is the lightened logistics while still having a powerful, and capable weapon at one's disposal.

The compressor doesn't seem to make ammo or consume the resources required to make it, but it still claims that it's producing the micro-capacitors. Is this a known issue?

@IlIWOLFIlI, as stated in the mod description, there's a special assembler, called a 'crystal compressor' that you use to make the ammo, this is the only way to make the ammo.
I had to make a custom assembler because i needed the assembler to consume large ammounts of energy while making the ammo, and I can't control that on the vanilla assembler.

Thanks for the help Ahoukenja. Any idea on how to remove the muzzle flash? I've replaced the texture and materials, tried to even remove the reference for them in the files, and still it remains.

Just a warning, if you use a stereo clip as D3, it maxes the volume and distorts the sound, i've had a few blown eardrum complaints before i figured that one out, with help from a dev.

@nukeguard, I use Adobe Audition, but that's not really important. The important part is this, there are 2 types of audio clips in SE, 'D2' and 'D3'.
D2 is for, you guessed it, 2-D audio (i.e. non-directional), these are in stereo.
D3 is for 3-D audio, (directional) these are mono. Make a copy of your stereo clip, and downmix it to mono, then use that for the D3 track.
Save them in wav format, then change extension to 'xwm'.

How did you convert your audio for the sound, I have been trying to get my audio clips to work on my tractor and repulsor beam turrets, but to no avail.

after many battles with these things we all (6players) said the same thing that the large laser cannons suck massive balls are too big of targets and do crap dmg for something that large to have on your ship with that low rate of fire so we ended up all throwing them off our ships and going for the small laser lances and they are far stronger in every way
