Kailey, are you using the Lights Out mod? I have the same issue due to that mod and I'm working on submitting a compatibility patch to the Lights Out maintainer. I'll be sure to include RM2 support.

Loving the Gestalt Engine, though I've noticed the power doesn't drain because it believes it's on standby, I'm doubt that's intended but it may also be a conflict on my part, just curious if this is the case for other people? (I have the engine via Reinforced Mechanoids 2 but thought that I would post here)

@foomaster, do you give the Matriach resurrection bills? the matriach can create new Mechs but not resurrect. if you give the Matriach the resurrection bills an error log emerges in Dev mode and she will not perform any task (only hauling).

my matriarchs wont do any kind of mechanoid gestation work
using FSF complex jobs. enabled mechanoids are capable and mechanoid work type

@TaikaJamppa Mine don't. Even setting them in a zone with the gestator and endless steel doesn't seem to work. Currently trying this in my "useless fleshing" run, really enjoying it so far. I used Gestalt Scenario Prototype 0.3 as my starting scenario. Still works in 1.5.

Main things mechs can't do is call in mech bosses, resurrect mechs, and trade. Which are the only things I still keep my mechanitor for. Not being able to trade in rimworld is surprisingly unenjoyable. I might just get into modding so mech only runs could be fully realized. For now solo-mechanitor seems the way to go.

I believe Many Jobs is what's causing the Matriarch to be unable to do mechanitor work. You can toggle mechanitor work to appear on the work tab, and while trying to fix the issue I used Mech Work Tab to see whether or not I could assign the Matriarch to mechanitor work and it wasn't optional. Changed the mod settings for Many Jobs and now everything is back to normal.

You can use Many Jobs and have the Matriarch work, but you can't assign mechanitor work to be an independent worktype.

I built the gestalt engine but it has no bandwidth and I can't really interract with it at all, anyone else had this problem?

@Mlie As best as I can figure, it's something to do with an interaction with the unlimited mechanitor range mod. That being said, changing this mod's load order somewhat fixed the issue (though its position relative to unlimited range didn't change, this one always loaded after that one).

Unrelated but "what the hack" is completely incompatible with this, but then again it doesn't work on 1.5 anyway.

For some reason, having this mod loaded makes *all* my saves fail to load their worlds without doing a dev quicktest world first, even brand new ones and saves that never interacted with the mod's content. I assume it's some weird mod interaction, but still, could be worth looking into.

There a Bug for when you downgrade it it loses all bandwidth and then you have a lot of mech out of control i fond that if you get your mechanitor to take them all back it fixes it self but if you have like 30 mech and a mechanitor with no upgrades well it a bit tricky

it can also be the "Infinite Gestalt Engine" mod that may Trigger it. But in a Dev Run it is working the same way even without it.

@Slaygate2077, I found the Issue on my Part. If you give resurrection bills the Matriarch, Sie will to do it but Fails because its missig the Option, as a Result the Matriarch Stopps any Gestate Option you have put in Place and just wanders around. Syilumi lunary and County Channel Power Garden has it seems to.

Anyone knows of a way to raide the matriatch skill level? xml edit or otherwise? She keeps stealing crafting jobs from other colonists and mechanoids and ending up with normal or good quiality stuff when they would have been excelent quality.

from testing it seems if you connect a gestalt engine to a bandwidth node and then deconstruct the node it makes the gestalt engine have 0 bandwidth

I noticed that all my mechanoids in control groups 3+ get reassigned to control group 1 when restarting the game

Sorry for coming back but I have identified a few other problems.
The Matriarch seems incapable of resurrecting mechs. I am not sure if that's intended.
So I went a workaround and tried using the progenitor mech from your other mod. And it is capable of resurrecting mechs, yes! But for some reason, when the progenitor is connected to the Gestalt Engine it loses the ability to res mechs. (It still works when connected to a mechanitor tho!)
The matriarch doesn't do either way, regardless of being connected to the gestalt or to a mechanitor.

I just made a test with reinforced mechanoids and while I was using only this mod and the problem persists. control group 1-2 work fine but 3+ stop working once you reload the game!

Hey master, I think there's a problem with the mod.
It seems like the engine isn't able to save mech work group 3 and 4. after you assign mechs to these groups and you save the game, after you load the save again the mechs will be back to group 1 and group 3 and 4 will be empty again.

@popo I added mod options to enable mechs in caravans depending on gestalt-level. Default is to allow if the controlling gestalt engine is level 3 or higher.
