using FSF complex jobs. enabled mechanoids are capable and mechanoid work type
Main things mechs can't do is call in mech bosses, resurrect mechs, and trade. Which are the only things I still keep my mechanitor for. Not being able to trade in rimworld is surprisingly unenjoyable. I might just get into modding so mech only runs could be fully realized. For now solo-mechanitor seems the way to go.
You can use Many Jobs and have the Matriarch work, but you can't assign mechanitor work to be an independent worktype.
Unrelated but "what the hack" is completely incompatible with this, but then again it doesn't work on 1.5 anyway.

The Matriarch seems incapable of resurrecting mechs. I am not sure if that's intended.
So I went a workaround and tried using the progenitor mech from your other mod. And it is capable of resurrecting mechs, yes! But for some reason, when the progenitor is connected to the Gestalt Engine it loses the ability to res mechs. (It still works when connected to a mechanitor tho!)
The matriarch doesn't do either way, regardless of being connected to the gestalt or to a mechanitor.
Btw, you dont need this mod if you already use Reinforced Mechanoids 2 as that includes this mod
It seems like the engine isn't able to save mech work group 3 and 4. after you assign mechs to these groups and you save the game, after you load the save again the mechs will be back to group 1 and group 3 and 4 will be empty again.
