How long does it take for the initial infection to start? I'm playing in the United States. I chose the options for it to start in my country in the early game. I'm in 1846 and it still hasn't started yet. Just making sure it's working and I don't go deep into this run without it starting.

1.9.x hotfix released now! This fixes the AI's chances of taking decisions and using journals.

very cool mod but i'm not sure if this is a bug or something that can't be accounted for but i decided to play as japan because of isolationism and I got a notification saying that the infection started because of a merchant.

Are there any plans to stop infection events if you manage to successfully fight the zombies off? Playing as sweden and was pretty disappointed after rushing max police and healthcare by 1840s only to immediately get reinfected in a different state. Also PLEASE stop the weekly button spamfest of bombardments, just make it a toggle.

@Dat1Cat the apocalypse designer allows you to set when the start date is. The random date setting triggers the event randomly during the game, so unsure why it's only doing it towards the end hmm

so I dont know if anyone else is having this issue, but ever time i select when the zombie Apocalypse it always starts at the last possible time. doesn't seem very random to me. it would also be nice if i could say when the Apocalypse. for example in 5,10,20,30,40 years from the start date

Its poor, but i love in HoI4 and now Vic3 the zombies. But why? Because the base-enemies are to weak, will not expand and will not change the map except colonies at all. Thats boring...

And so zombies give the game an interessting touch. I like zombies... but i hate how zombies are used in cheap games or films and destroy their potencial.
Zombieland, WorldwarZ, Day gone or every tower defense game shows that this can be really nice. Currently maybe infection free zone... but i buy no EA.

@Traveller originally it was intended to have a zombie country, but that involves a lot more coding and 3D modelling which i'm working on. In future I think there'll be an option to either have a zombie country enemy (like Viccy2) or as harvest conditions.

Interesting decision to use the harvest condition mechanic instead of copying the Victoria 2 mod.

Are there reasons for this? I imagine this makes it more compatible with other mods?

Also I'm guessing the timer works even if a mod changes the starting year, the description given in the designer will just list the wrong year.

Pretty good mod. I noticed that the decentralized states thing only works about half of the time for me; sometimes my states just don't flip. Also, I wish there was some kind of popup event to tell you when the outbreak starts somewhere in the world.
