@Megabot Yeah what you likely deleted are called "masks" they tell the game what color should be changed on pawn, red is where the color will change, and blank is where color wont be changed. deleting it wont be a direct issue, but you wont be able to have the core be the same colors as the eyes. the most common issue i see when i comes to the worker drone texture not loading or the pawn being different colors and not having the texture show, is due to load order. try loading the mod at the very bottom of the list. If that doesnt work, then let me know, and it could be a different issue that i need to look at.

This'll be my first time commenting on one of these but after the troubleshooting I've done, I feel like I need to because my hyper fixation compels me. The Pawn textures didn't work in the Workshop version. So after scrapping the mod list and troubleshooting for an hour, I found some extra textures in the mod folder. They look like blank spaces, or have a red eye. I deleted those and now the pawn textures work. Hope this helps anyone else having this issue :p03:

@fancypants4000 i was actually thinking, instead if they are on fire, there heat will tick up depending on how intense the fire is. also there heat bar is a measurement of there Internal system heat, and a factor i failed to mention was that once they each 60% to 99% they gain the chance to get the overheating hediff, which temporarily removes any type of healing till there internal temperature is at safe levels (below 10% heat).

They will still be resistant to most damages, but this would still be a way of weakening them for abit, and force them to use there oil reserves for getting rid of the heat. (and, once they run out they cannot recover from overheating, and will end up dying.)

(100% heat will always apply the hediff.)

For the disassemblely drones and other drones that have the overheating thing. Weapons that do heat damage (flamethrowers, energy weapons, etc) should do more damage to them/they have no heat armor. Making them more effective. (forget to mention when I met you in vr lol)

The mod feels a bit.. "rough" around the edges as I've had to figure out but over all, solid 9/10 for me. Hope this gets improved upon in future updates!

@Kanako Ketsukane Make sure the mod is loaded under VRE androids, and Vanilla Android Genes extended in the load order. Helped someone with a similar issue.

The heck do I do to make the pawns look like the drones because every time I apply the android type to a pawn, they just wind up being a different colored human and not a worker drone, Any tips I need to fix this ?

@Nori Doorman since I'm using the VRE Androids as the base for this mod, you normally can't have baby androids. But maybe I could see what's possible for the future, as it would be interesting to be able to create them in a more streamlined way. Although you can create drones in game using the android creator workbench, under the biotech tab.

@Clifthanger64 it should be under the android editor button, its supposed to be next to the xenotype editor if the mod has it's dependencies installed and loaded correctly.

It should allow you to edit the android type while in the colonists generator screen, before spawning.

If you don't see the android editor button, then it's possible you don't have "VRE Androids" enabled or installed. I hope this helps : )

@Kanako Ketsukane I have a short list of ideas and drone types I'll be working on at the bottom of description under "Future plans and other information:".

But to answer your question, I am in fact working on more drone types, including the solver, (the extremely rare) zombie drones, and disassemblely drones!
(currently got some good progress on the Disassemblely drones, and the solver)

Also, the best place I recommend to share any ideas would be my discord server if possible. This helps me keep all the communities wonderful ideas, in one place. : )

i'm not sure what but it seems the MD xenotype didnt show up in Pawn editor xeno edit, is it supposed to be uneditable unless you make your own droid?

Are WD's the only drone type you are working on because I do have a few ideas you can do if you eventually plan to do DD's (Disassembly drones) and I know what you can do with the idea, If you plan to do DD's that is.

@Kanako Ketsukane the drones do indeed bleed oil when damaged, also they are already quite resistant to cold, but not immune same as heat. There is a worker drone xenotype with there own faction, you can capture them or create your own with the android creator (or when starting the game you can select the xenotype). The only thing it doesn't have currently is there own scenario, but that's something I'm going to be adding in the future, along with my big update. (Atm it's haulted till I get back from vacation)

Do the Worker drones bleed oil if they get hit or damaged and otherwise how do you get them because honestly, You should add least add some scenario or something with the worker drones and make it so the worker drones are quite resistant to the cold because Copper 9 is freezing but make it so that they are prone to overheating and said overheating causes problems for the worker drones, I know they are not the DD's but they are still drones.:balloonicorn:
