I think it's just how commands like "exec" and "wait". Scripts rely on these console commands to run. I have noticed a lot of weird bugs like some scripts refusing to run or only tun if I tweak "exec" and "wait" commands. They weren't supposed to run on every map load which is why they are so buggy. I suggest to only use just a very few script mods or wait for HL2 Remastered Collection or MMod steam release. It's rumored they will have VScript scripting language.
on some pc might work just fine with many mods installed, on mine it can load 30 mods before the subtitles doesnt wanna load
Has anyone had this problem or is this just me?
Some users reported it's working fpr them using custom folder.
Anyway, it's an unusual situation but maybe others might try to 100% while doing some mods like me and could get very confused.
Alright, I have found what was causing loading screen freezing and it was because I included game.cfg scripts preloading at the start of the game. I've reduced them to just 2 and now any script old or my updated ones should work properly.
I'm glad it's finally working. I've updated Script MultiLoader to fix script incompatibilities. Feels good to have all of my stuff working at once.
Just tested wth those mods only, loads and works fine for me.
You need to do following steps:
1. Quit the game.
2. Unsubscribe from all of these addons and Script MultiLoader.
3. Resubscribe to them again.
4. Launch the game and start new game or map.
It's not required I just forgot to remove Friendly Fire from required items. I'll test Friendly Fire with Health Regen and will see test if it works or not.
Can you try again? My addons apperantly required additional patching and I've finished updating all of them. Can you try to run it with my scripted mods only? After steam finishes updating them everything should work well. I've managed to run all of them at once.
I've patched all scripted mods of mine. Can you restart your game, re-enable Script MultiLoader and test it with other mods. If it still doens't works can you post here the list of your mods?

-Added game.cfg script pre-loading. This will now preload CVars before map load which is very useful for some skill options and stuff like ai_force_serverside_ragdoll 1 which only applied on newly spawned NPCs.
-Fixed broken workflow when Friendly Fire was not installed.
-Script ID: 1 is now used by default.
Me neither, some of my custom scripts just refuse to work without it even though there isn't anything dependable here. HL2 cfg scripting is actually janky af if you have too many scripts running at the same time, especially those that autoload during map start, save load and map transition.

There was an issue with Dynamic Fire Glow disabing episodic behavior in Episodes maps. I have pushed an update for it and now everything should work properly in Episode 1 and 2.
I'm not sure if BM could detect external cfg files. There's also no one uploading cfg scripts in BM's workshop beside my's Mega Mod Pack scripts.
