That may still happen, but they shouldn't be a million miles from the player for no reason at least.
GigaCars 8 hours ago
that bug definitely given me a few laughs when they spawned at the sun and just got burned up lmao
Echthros  [author] 8 hours ago
UPDATE:
-Fixed Factorum global spawns to always be near planets and not off in the void.
IamTaylorMade 18 hours ago
trying to use the present in a DS but everytime i try and connect it will not let me anyone else having the issue?
Echthros  [author] Aug 28 @ 1:10pm
Make sure that the <IsSurface> flag is also set to true, otherwise it will only affect things in the ORBIT region. I'm in the process of updating the Editor guide, so that should be up a bit later.
PanicOregon281 Aug 28 @ 1:04pm
Does zone damage work? I'm currently using it to re-add grid damage and player damage to Ravcor rn, and i have 100% zone effect. But i'm not taking any damage at all standing where i've positioned the zone just above the surface lava to register that i'm in that zone.
Echthros  [author] Aug 28 @ 11:28am
You can use a gas giant and set the skin and ring skin to the black hole preset.
PanicOregon281 Aug 28 @ 9:27am
trying to model the star system preset ingame, but i'm wanting to follow some real life principles.
Is there a way to spawn a sun with a black effect, or an outright blackhole? fiddling with the empty zone atm as the star systems parent body for the suns orbit.
Telion Aug 25 @ 5:24pm
@Echthros Siiiccck i am gonna get all over those zooonnnneeess!
GigaCars Aug 25 @ 2:34pm
oh that option, he mis-spelled space so i didn't reconise it

nor have i used this mod in a while due to HDD failure some time ago so ig foggy memory
Echthros  [author] Aug 25 @ 1:30pm
@PanicOregon281 That sets whether or not asteroids will appear in the empty space between planets. By default it is off, but you can turn it on.
GigaCars Aug 25 @ 1:15pm
probably smth ech was experimenting on for asteroids that he forgot to hide when he updated this

i wouldn't mess or use it till Ech says it's released
PanicOregon281 Aug 25 @ 10:35am
what does "Proxy Spast Aster." do? based on the name, i'm assuming it creates proxy objects for asteroids???
GigaCars Aug 25 @ 9:40am
elite dangerous fuel scoop gaming
Echthros  [author] Aug 24 @ 10:06pm
UPDATE!
-Added customizable functional zones
-Supports Effects: Turbulence/Wind, Gravity, Weather, Resource Gathering, Grid/Player Damage, Power Drain/Gain, Asteroid Filter.
SilverSurfer Aug 23 @ 9:18am
oh ok:( i understand but i hope it will be in the plans in the future
Echthros  [author] Aug 22 @ 8:43pm
@SilverSurfer Unfortunately, that would be a ton of extra work, so that isn't in the plans for now. At the moment, the editor is intended only for building the world in single player.
Echthros  [author] Aug 22 @ 8:41pm
@Hyligan There are a few premade worlds listed in the mod description that you can download and play immediately. "Trithorne Cluster" is the most popular one. It has 3 star systems all orbiting a massive black hole.

As for localizing, I wouldn't mind doing that. I'll have to move the strings out to a file first. If you want to join my Discord, I can send you the file when it's done.
GigaCars Aug 22 @ 11:53am
you can't just "make it"

plus, if it wasn't done in the first place, it's likely impossible
SilverSurfer Aug 22 @ 11:48am
can you please make it so if its multiplayer if the host edits the star system e.t.c other players see it live so they dont have to rejoin
Telion Aug 22 @ 5:50am
Thank you! Yeah absolutely don't rush, the zoning sounds really cool, so excited!
Hyligan Aug 22 @ 5:26am
I would also like to discuss the possibility of localizing your mod.

At the moment, I have decided to localize it myself for personal use, but I would prefer to simplify the process, perhaps using JSON files in any language of my choice, or through some form of integration with you as additional language options.
Hyligan Aug 22 @ 5:20am
Dear Sir/Madam,

Are there any ready-made save files with planets and star systems available for download to integrate into your save architecture?

I imagine creating these is an exciting task, but I would prefer to start immediately, for example, somewhere on Earth or the Moon.

The mod itself looks visually stunning, especially with all the aspects, but I would like to receive a ready-made result, such as options featuring our Solar System, a fictional one, or as in the original game, but with dynamic behavior of planets, asteroids, and star systems.
Echthros  [author] Aug 21 @ 8:54pm
Ah, I still need to update the guide on here. I'm about to add generalized functional zones, so I'll update all the guide stuff once that's out.
Telion Aug 21 @ 6:48pm
I can't remember if i said it before but just... WOW. This mod is amazing btw, an absolute must imo. I see you've added particles too, which are so cool! Has anyone found a guild for them as im struggling to get them to work how i was hoping to. Can't wait for updates to this !
CrazyCracker Aug 19 @ 4:11pm
Will this work if I already have 50 other mods like AI ships, pve base spawns, texture mods etc
GigaCars Aug 16 @ 11:11am
it works with real orbits
chell Aug 16 @ 10:58am
another question: does this mod play nice with the "real orbits" mod?
chell Aug 15 @ 9:05pm
ah, nifty
gonna have to see if i can get that menu to actually load XD
Echthros  [author] Aug 15 @ 7:57pm
Subscribe to premade world and go to main menu: "New Game" -> "Community Content" -> Select World.
chell Aug 15 @ 7:49pm
this seems really cool, but how do i actually _use_ any of the premade systems?
SourceStick Aug 14 @ 4:59am
@GigaCars yeah, I figured that there isn't way to do it:( Copying the config files to another world, along with planets wasn't enough to not cause the game to crash on load :P
GigaCars Aug 12 @ 1:03pm
it is not possible, unless ech is willing to add a solar system exporter to export a readable RSS file to your computer for use in other worlds

best you can do, memorize(or take pictures of) the way the system is made down to the color and remake it
SourceStick Aug 12 @ 11:58am
Hello! Question I couldn't find an answer to: How can I (if it is possible) copy a solar system from one save to another?
Darian Stephens Aug 6 @ 7:02am
@BlenSike
1. This isn't a modpack.
2. It doesn't affect the planets directly, beyond spawning them in different places and teleporting you between different areas in space.
BlenSike Aug 6 @ 6:10am
is this modpack are compatible with "industrial overhaul" ore spawns?
SvilenArt Aug 2 @ 11:34am
Echthros Thanks! It works perfectly!:steamhappy:
SvilenArt Aug 2 @ 3:52am
Echthros Thank you very much! I'll try it right now!:steamhappy:
Echthros  [author] Aug 1 @ 3:26pm
Try with the compatible version of the sleep mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3412211521
SvilenArt Aug 1 @ 3:16pm
Really great work! This game desperately needs realism. Congratulations on the good experience. I guess it will develop in the future because at the moment the day cycle does not match. I use the sleeping mode and when it gets night and I lie down on my bed it says that it is not night but in the game it is night. Otherwise everything else works. I made a whole solar system, the planets move. Ready for exploration
GigaCars Jul 30 @ 9:28am
currently, you'd have to put a minisun inside said object till that would be integrated

also, there is currently no hi-res accretion disk texture, at least not yet
stoneman.luke2 Jul 25 @ 9:05am
This is a stretch, but is there a way to make a non-star planet act like a star? More specifically, I want to make the BalCorp Black Hole effect global lighting like a star. Would it be as simple as copying some parts of the code from the star mod into the black hole? Also, is there a higher resolution version of the black hole accretion disk ring texture?
Dronda Desuix Jul 23 @ 2:32pm
Just a heads up. Nitrado is struggling to download the latest update. Apparently the Solar Blocks Override is also causing problems.
Echthros  [author] Jul 23 @ 1:06pm
There are gravity wells for each body in proxy space. So you will see gravity beyond the edges of the zone if the gravity well is larger than the zone. While you are within a zone, though, you shouldn't see gravity from any other bodies.
Remastered D3M0 Jul 23 @ 12:53pm
anyone have a breakdown guide on what sizes should be correct? i seem to keep being stuck in natural grav of a planet but even looking at the zone markers i dont seem to be in a orbit.
Echthros  [author] Jul 22 @ 3:29pm
UPDATE:
-Added support for position offset and emitter scale for attached particles.
-Removed non-functional "Aurora" particle option.
DameHruCZ Jul 22 @ 11:22am
/TSE is not Work
FullDarkness Jul 21 @ 7:06pm
Thanks.. It's working
Echthros  [author] Jul 21 @ 1:04pm
The aurora didn't get implemented. I wasn't able to get it to look good enough, but forgot to remove the listing.
