"Created a space under the bottom deck on the starboard side with fluid pumps for bilge in and bilge out,to counteract the port list after loading crab." Could you explain it another way?
Agreed. I love this vessel, but I have the same issues. Pots shifting, list from loading crab, and off-loading being a pain in the . . . . The fact that SW can't seem to put cleats or bollards down where people fuel and offload fish, you know, where people actually NEED to moor a vessel and keep it stationary, makes the need to hold fish vacuum steady even more important.
Jed_Sanders, please make these corrections or allow Werwolf to upload these fixes. GREAT vessel. Well done.
Raised the height of the pot guardrails on all of the pot storage, and added a middle rail so pots don't slip out onto the deck or slip off the top of the pot stacks. It does make storing pots harder, but use the camera by manning the front station and turning off the pot data system. I can store a pot in less than 10 seconds.
Created a space under the bottom deck on the starboard side with fluid pumps for bilge in and bilge out,to counteract the port list after loading crab.
Doubled the bow thruster controls onto the bridge, so you can properly line up the ship on pots if you have human deck crew.
Put a "fence" around the bow hopper so you can go to offload and lower the vacuum onto the hopper and the fence will keep the ship from drifting away from the sell point (anchors are also set during offloading)
For fewer pots, you can delete the standard pots and space out the remaining 12 or less smart pots. Will help with performance also.
Updated with more static roll stabilisation.
