Having an issue where the last character in names like for colonists and animals is on a new line, whether its a long or short name. This didn't happen the last time i used custom fonts though, does anyone have any suggestions for finding the issue?

This seems to be working mostly fine for me in 1.5. If settings aren't being saved between restarts then it might be a mod conflict (I don't use similar UI mods like RimThemes). Also, the "apply" button resets to default, don't click it

I did have an issue where fonts randomly reset to default, but it was always fixable. If it happens in game then going to main menu, switching fonts, and switching back fixes it. If it happens on the main menu, restarting the game fixes it. Repeatedly changing settings seems to cause instability because once I chose my final settings, I played for several hours with no problems

Also, if colonist/animal names are being split into multiple lines, uncheck "disable tiny fonts" in the vanilla Interface options. This was driving me crazy because most longer names are unaffected, but short names like "cat" get clipped. It still happens with some larger fonts though, so if it's possible to disable text wrapping completely, it would be a nice option

This is working however the custom font doesn’t save when i close and re open rimworld. I have to re choose the font every time.

Thanks for this fork.

For some reason it doesn't remember the font settings when I exit and reload the game. I need to set it up every time. The font I chose is still selected, but I need to unselect and reselect it for it to work again.

Any idea what could be causing this?

i have the same issue font is in windows/fonts but not available in game.

Kyrox, first remove all Cadman fonts from Windows. Then, go to the font files, right-click and install it using “Install for all users”. It will be installed in C:\Windows\Fonts.

Windows combines all files in "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts" and files in "C:\Windows\Fonts" and displays them in "C:\Windows\Fonts". However, Unity only recognizes fonts located in "C:\Windows\Fonts". I checked that the font is actually available through the method above.

I don't have a folder for Fonts in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows. The font I am trying to use is already located in C:\Windows\Fonts. Do you think I could just request a font to be added to the mod natively? It's just a single font. It's called Cadman. Mr Samuel Streamer uses this font for his video series on Youtube.

Kyrox, copy all the files from "%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts" to "C:\Windows\Fonts".

I had this problem with the old mod, and your update. I have a custom font installed on Windows 11. It's installed properly and works on Windows. The mod doesn't detect it, and I cannot use custom installed fonts.

Thanks for this update/fork, my eyes are getting a bit older these days and I really like being able to change the font size.

Custom Fonts supports reading fonts installed on the OS.
