and as of now jecs pretty much ruins any modpack its put in and rwom requires it so its pretty fucked lol
Dickcus Chupappious Apr 20 @ 11:23am
could you possibly add support for rwom in the future or is that just not something you care about, which is fair. i really like rwom its hands down my fav mod.

This is a framework for the Rimhammer fantasy mod series. It has a very paired down version of Jecs, as well as a bunch of other stuff common the Rimhammer fantasy mod series.
Dickcus Chupappious Apr 18 @ 5:12pm
so is this Rimworld of magic comp? someone asked already kinda never got a response.
Goldengear1111 Mar 16 @ 11:13pm
Is this mod a less baggy version of jecs?
SickBoyWi  [author] Mar 15 @ 7:56am
UPDATE: Fixed missing ability texts, moved some common code from Rimhammer mods into this mod.
Agraza Dec 14, 2024 @ 9:09pm
your other mods continue to ask for jecstools
SickBoyWi  [author] Sep 29, 2024 @ 9:52am
Update: Fixed issue with pawns configged to start with a specific HeDiff.

Wisconsin is the best state.

@Mechanomical - What's the shield problem with Jecs?
Mechanomical Aug 4, 2024 @ 9:54pm
Does this one have the same shield problem the old jecstools had
SickBoyWi  [author] Aug 4, 2024 @ 6:56am
@Morcalvin - Yes, if a mod requires Jecs. This is specific for the RImhammer mod series, unless other modders start using this instead.
Morcalvin Jul 29, 2024 @ 8:22pm
Do I still need this if I'm using Jecstools? I have several other mods that need the original Jecstools
SickBoyWi  [author] Jul 28, 2024 @ 7:26pm
@Aegis - I'm working on that now, just to be sure.
Aegis J Hyena Jul 27, 2024 @ 8:50pm
What happens if we have jecs due to other mods we use requiring it, will this overwrite, or...?
SickBoyWi  [author] Jul 19, 2024 @ 3:41pm
@神说万岁 - I'm working on that. They will be as they roll out for 1.5.
神说万岁 Jul 18, 2024 @ 8:32pm
Can you replace the JecsTools prerequisite for your other mods with SickTools as a prerequisite
Hood Jul 13, 2024 @ 4:57pm
How do I remake Rimworld of Magic with this?
SickBoyWi  [author] Jun 26, 2024 @ 2:50pm
神说万岁 - I'm actively working on them every day. Empire and Beastmen are very close.
神说万岁 Jun 23, 2024 @ 2:27am
When will other mods be updated to 1.5?I really want to play with them
SickBoyWi  [author] Jun 16, 2024 @ 3:47pm
@tw_boring - This is a very stripped down version of Jecs. There's less than a quarter of all that they had going on in that one. If there's issues with performance yet, I will take care of it; once I get all my mods updated to 1.5.
tw_boring Jun 14, 2024 @ 4:26am
What about performance when compared to jectool?
SickBoyWi  [author] May 26, 2024 @ 10:04am
Ready for 1.5
SickBoyWi  [author] Apr 23, 2024 @ 5:08pm
@Turtleshroom - Much of what is going on in Jecs I don't use, and don't care to learn. It's notorious for performing slowly, and causing issues. The more simple I keep it, the better off I am just for the sake of maintaining this.
SickBoyWi  [author] Apr 23, 2024 @ 5:07pm
@.kiwi - Heck yeah!
@Wolfy - No, mostly because the work involved in moving hundreds of spells off Jecs is too big to consider rewriting it all. With this release, I was able to a mass find/replace across the entire config folders, and solve it really fast.
SickBoyWi  [author] Apr 23, 2024 @ 5:06pm
@Gearhammer - Not sure, I can test that though. I'm in transition with my home currently, so it could be a week or two before I settle back in to being able to get time to focus on this stuff. 1.5 could not have dropped at a poorer time for me.
SickBoyWi  [author] Apr 23, 2024 @ 5:05pm
@Zlygork - It depends what their use is. If they're just using the ability stuff, then yes they could.
Gearhammer Apr 19, 2024 @ 4:23am
Ever since I add this mod now I have hunter lacks ranged weapon on all my range pawns.
Note: I am playing 1.4 game on my old 1.4 save, and before 1.5 release everything was ok.
Any help?
.kiwi Apr 15, 2024 @ 2:47pm
Wisconsin #1
Wolfy Apr 13, 2024 @ 8:20pm
Have you looked at the It's Sorcery! mod? It's an xml based magic framework and more flexible than using/rewriting jecs
Scorpio Apr 13, 2024 @ 4:41pm
@TurtleShroom
`Ancient Rim series, of which I helped develop` you what ? - are you on drugs or some shit?

"hope you will expand this, one day, to the whole Jecstools" - yeah because having the same issues the original mod is fantastic idea . and totally not a waste of time

man shut up and stop being a nuisance to everyone on this community
Sun Cultist Apr 13, 2024 @ 9:46am
Thanks for doing this by the way

This comment section feels very midwest
TurtleShroom Apr 13, 2024 @ 9:39am
I hope you will expand this, one day, to the whole Jecstools. I know several Mods (especially the Ancient Rim series, of which I helped develop) that use Jecstools and would fare better with your work.
TurtleShroom Apr 13, 2024 @ 9:38am
Fantastic work. I cannot play "Rimworld" without the Cthulhu Mods and I don't see Jecstools being altered or made better, let alone the Mod accomodating the "Anomaly" EP.
Culvers Apr 13, 2024 @ 8:16am
CrackJack his framework is shit but too many cool mods rely on it
CrackaJack Apr 13, 2024 @ 7:48am
why the hate, what´d he do
Zlygork Apr 13, 2024 @ 6:33am
Nice initiative, I know jecs tools has been a pain for a while. Wonder if Rimworld of Magic could also move over to using this instead
