@zaiden Well fake turret is not early game contents. you need same research prerequisite of mini-turret to unlock fake turret.

even if its one, i feel like plasteel is a mid-mid game to late game material is all

@Zaiden It only needs 1 plasteel. Think as the cost of convenience. Perhaps this one plasteel was used as coating on fake turret to make it looks like real one? This turret does its job well compared to what it need to be spend.

@TurtleShroom Ikr? it's super effective when you make them lot in killbox and it makes enemies confused as hell. despite is doesn't do any damage, still super effective XD.

I think that the Fake Turret should generate Terror for Slaves and Prisoners. That would be hilarious.

Also, I can totally see the use of this. If you build a butt ton of these, Raiders will automatically go to attack them. That will make them vulnerable to real attacks!
