Type 3 Glass

Appears this mod might be abandoned.
It appears the windows in this mod are now 100% absolute transparent, not a single speck on them. That, and the icon issue, leads me to believe that this mod is currently suffering some texture related issues. I believe last time I used this mod ages back, it used to have specks of some kind on the glass to let you know there was a window there, stuff you could only see up close. Not that its a huge issue, the icon issue is quite ugly.

MindCozy, if you could let us know you're still around with a post or some such, that'd be great for sure.

If you are too busy ergthbeb, hit me up with what you have, and I can update them.
Bite Sep 17, 2016 @ 3:42am
HEy man I love your windows especially the 1.3 sloped and corner parts but could you invert them ??
Vas Aug 25, 2016 @ 5:25pm
I was hoping you could make a mod for another interesting thing I had in mind, as I don't know how to begin and I like this glass the best. I dunno if you're still around however.

I second Soulkeeper's notion, along with the 3-block-long side, face and inv. windows (i.e. the corners).
Soulkeeper Sep 27, 2015 @ 4:15am
can you please add the windows 2x2 Flat, 1x3 Slope, 2x2 slope, 3x3 slope ?
VORG Jul 13, 2015 @ 8:17pm
The block next to my windows on large ship are saying no oxygen. There are no lights in front of them either.

More realism indeed :)
DARKNESS Jun 23, 2015 @ 2:21pm
Add my vote to realism. It would be nice if your windows could function like the default windows.
MindCozy  [author] Jun 4, 2015 @ 4:55pm
The original window blocks have been given added, or you could say limited, functionality. They are now only air-tight when completed. This causes some interesting effects, such as the ability to pin characters into the wall by shooting out the window behind them, or possibly catching items flying around before they fly out of your ship - be that good or bad. I hope to get my mod to achieve the same thing, if i can figure out how they did it. What do you guys think? In favor of more realism?
MindCozy  [author] Jun 4, 2015 @ 4:42pm
Okay, I hope I got everything! I appreciate the feedback tremendously. Thanks for your patience, we're all still learning this. :)

It is a station, I replaced all the glass with vanilla glass and it works. The type 3 glass worked before the DX11 update. Also the build states give me a visual error indicator when grinding them down or when placeing and welding one up, I also had this happen with the 2x1 slanted vanilla window. Thanks for the reply, I'll do some experiments and get you some more info.
MindCozy  [author] Jun 4, 2015 @ 8:05am
Can you give me any specifics? Was it a station, or possibly a small ship? If not no problem.

I've been looking into it and I know that there is an issue with station window pressurization in general with if windows are technically seen as their own station. If you could make a block surrounded by windows on all sides, then delete that block, the resulting cavity could not be pressurized without something on the exterior corners to join the sides...

Having issues with O2, going to deactivate it on my server, but I'm hoping it gets fixed. :)
MindCozy  [author] May 30, 2015 @ 6:00pm
I'm definitely working on it! Sadly the Dx11 documentation is very minimal.
gripenblau May 29, 2015 @ 1:39pm
gone do DX11? Like your mod :)
WardenWolf Apr 30, 2015 @ 1:15pm
Still not reliably holding oxygen.
Freezer555 Mar 23, 2015 @ 3:23pm
Thanks for fixing the problem quickly!

Hi, just a little Bug. After your latest Update, which makes your large Windows airtight, the "Window 1x3 Flat" is now only available for Small Ships. Large Block Version is gone.

I like this mod. Keep the good work up.
MindCozy  [author] Nov 15, 2014 @ 1:44pm
The problem with replacing the vanilla parts is that there are fewer now than before, so i'm unsure of what to do with the left over vanilla inverted windows. If you DO want to replace the vanilla windows, you can use the Type R Glass Mod to achieve this. Just copy it into your mods folder unzipped, and change the values in the .../data/transparentMaterial_glass_exterior.sbc to be the same as transparentMaterial_glass_interior.sbc, then use that mod instead of mine! (it will have a folder icon rather than a steam icon ingame)
Dragon-Raptor Nov 15, 2014 @ 4:16am
I'd rather it NOT replace the original windows personally. I like having those for exterior windows, and these for inside the ship/station.

But something I would like to see... a 'windowless' version. Same model, but with a non-transparent texture. Maybe the square plate texture from the Interior Wall block?
KingdomBragg Nov 13, 2014 @ 5:13am
Brill, just what I needed :)
Is it possible to make an edgeless variant? I appreciate there will probably be a noticeable seam but I'd like to create my own cockpit without metal edging getting in the way.
miku567 Nov 11, 2014 @ 5:40am
Good work. I like the 1x3 windows but could you make this mod replace the original window block?
MindCozy  [author] Nov 8, 2014 @ 2:16pm
Ah, thanks! It seems mods can't reference construction stages that aren't included...
Dragon-Raptor Nov 8, 2014 @ 7:39am
Really nice work. However, I'm getting pink 'ERROR' boxes instead of the construction stages. Can still weld those up, and the completed stage is correct, but it's a 'little' jaring ;)

Might want to look into that.
MindCozy  [author] Oct 26, 2014 @ 8:48pm
@PurpleSexKitten @rion I'll be looking into how then!
MindCozy  [author] Oct 26, 2014 @ 8:47pm
@Xakthos (or anyone else) If you want to change the exact appearance for your own experience, find the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\SpaceEngineers\Mods folder and copy 320189788.sbm, (rename it,) and extract as a zip. Navigate to \Data\TransparentMaterials, and then mess with the XYZW values for RGBA. Delete everything but that file in the whole mod. Put your renamed folder into the mods directory and load it up ingame after my mods (which i think is above it on the list?) the window transparencies will simply change color on your display, but the blocks will still be Type2/3 so others can use your creations so long as you dont export your file too.

Purple Sex Kitten is right, regarding small blocks; this mod is too good, for just large/station!
Xakthos Oct 26, 2014 @ 1:42pm
I understand. The blue just seems a bit jarring to me color wise to work with.
MindCozy  [author] Oct 26, 2014 @ 1:18pm
i did leave a *very* slight blue tint to the windows so that they would be visible, i found that no tint appeard almost not to be there.
Xakthos Oct 26, 2014 @ 11:59am
For some reason I'm getting a blue haze through the glass on both sides. Almost like it wasn't washed right type of look. Is that normal? I have my graphics at the highest settings for the game if that affects the look. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=332321575

Also:
Why doesn't this mod have a five star rating by now!?
(Bump to vanilla blockset, Keen!)

Loving this mod, ergthbeb. Yes, Type 3 Glass for small blocks, and possibly a flat 1x3, please?
Purple Sex Kitten Oct 25, 2014 @ 6:36pm
Love these windows. I was wondering as a suggestion to make these type 3 windows for small ships as well?
Moros Oct 15, 2014 @ 4:30pm
So, these windows are essentially normal two way glass windows instead of the one way windows we have now? The pics aren't really that helpful.
MindCozy  [author] Oct 6, 2014 @ 10:06pm
Yep, that's in the works.
Kaelum Oct 1, 2014 @ 1:32pm
Can you add a final set with glare but no tint?
