Yes, it is. If you remove the mod during the game, it will have the opposite effect - the strength of the walls will exceed the maximum possible. I added a warning in the mod description that you should not do that.
Added support for the “ReBuild: Doors and Corners” mod. Yeah, “Windows” doesn't seem to be updated anytime soon, if at all (I've seen Owlchemist mods being updated by other people, but I have high doubts they're doing anything other than adding formal compatibility). Alas, I can't fix the glass walls from “ReBuild: Doors and Corners” so that they work like windows from “Windows” (you can shoot through windows from “Windows”, but you can't shoot through glass walls from “ReBuild: Doors and Corners”). If I try to make them shootable, they cease to fulfill their primary function (the game stops considering them walls). So I just corrected the cost and strength of the objects.
Also added the links. Thanks for pointing that out, I had completely forgotten about them)
Thank makes sense, thanks for getting back to me!
Yes, I deliberately didn't change it. A brick wall is built for 8 units and has a base strength of 400 units. This fits perfectly with my balance of 10 for 500. The only thing is, while a brick wall used to be an "expensive but durable" build, now it's "slightly less durable but cheap". If there is an option to not change something, I try not to change it.)) Besides, it seemed logical to me - a large, monolithic masonry block is stronger than a relatively smaller and more fragile brick, after all.
Wow you were thorough, with LTS Furnishings I was just hoping the prison wall would be made similar to yours. But bringing most of their walls on par with yours is pretty awesome. I think one got missed, the Brick Wall from mod seems to have the old stats while all the other were updated. Thanks so much again for the compatibility!
I am very much obliged for all the patches, will look forward to seeing when I start a new play through this evening. Feel a little less bad for my last colony wipe as it lead to me finding your awesome work here!
Downloaded an update that adds support for [LTS]Furnishing, Diagonal Walls (and Diagonal Walls 2). No patch is needed for Seamless Embrasures. Embrasures have the same cover efficiency as in my mod (80%). And the strength/cost parameters of Seamless Embrasures are the same as the walls they adjust to. Nice mod, admire the author for his elegant solution.
Done, you can download the image without the caption here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3136816410
Ok, I'll do that. I think in a couple or three days, currently I have a few other small mods to finish.
Many thanks for getting back to me and explaining the walls thing! [LTS] Furnishings had their own barred walls that didn't function like the doors that threw me off in allowing shooting though, which threw me off when I tried to have blow guns from another mod shoot into the cells to pacify prisoners. Would love if they worked like yours if you'd be up to take a look at them. I'd probably like to use them as fencing for pastures if they functioned like that.
Also maybe compatibility for Seamless Embrasures, Seamless Embrasures for Armored Walls, and Diagonal Walls if you'd like to take a look at those. Many thanks again!
Thanks for the feedback! Just in case, I'd like to remind you that shot-through objects are not treated as full walls by the game. To use the bars from Vanilla Furniture Expanded - Architect to build prison cells, you need to place them in a separate room. The thing is that all beds in it will become prison beds. This is how the game mechanics work (the embrasures from other mods have exactly the same feature). Perhaps I should add this to the description - perhaps for someone it may come as a surprise.
So far there are no plans for expansion, the mod is quite balanced as it is. But I have no problem adding support for any mod. Just give me a hint on which mods to pay attention to first, and I will add support.
On customizations - there are none and they are unlikely to appear in the near future. At the moment I just don't know how to do it, that's why all my mods are so specialized.
Yes, I'm the only one who has them. In a few days I will upload a small bonus minimod adding the race of creatures from the pictures. Nothing special, the genes are taken from the Vanilla Races Expanded series, the mod won't need to be downloaded at all. Its true purpose is different. In addition to the previews there will be all the source images from my other mods (I've been asked to share these images before, so I decided to do it this way). Alas, styme has a limitation - the total size of the pictures in the mod description must not exceed 8 MB, but that's enough for me for now. I'll let you know when I upload a mod with pictures.
