update: I did what the video said to do, unfortunately the ruffled beard has a missing texture with this addon. I might have to do something with the texture manually.

for some odd reason the beard is black even without the mod, if someone knows the reason plz lemme know

Pte Jack  [author] Dec 21, 2018 @ 10:07pm
Didn't read the description did you, I have 3 videos on that linked there

I can't help that, Gin. That's a valve thing. The material is available and does download. Check your "Sourcefilmmaker\game\workshop\materials\models\workshop\player\items\medic\xms2013_ruffled_beard\ folder" for the "xms2013_ruffled_beard.vmt" file again.

You don't change anything in the gameinfo.txt file anymore. Click the tutorial link in the description and pick one of the 3 ways to get it to work in SFM.

What does one change in the Gameinfo.txt file? if its said somewhere here im blind :p
Pte Jack  [author] Nov 22, 2016 @ 7:37am
None, all those files are correct. Restart SFM but go to the SDK, click Edit Search Paths for select mod. Make sure thst Workshop is checked on then drag it above the TF folder.

Well yeah, it's seems I have too many files but what to delete?

Have you set workshop to have a higher priority than the TF folders that you have or move the vmt into a folder that is higher in priority? Do you have a custom vmt in your usermod materials folderfor this material? This looks like a shader error and with over 2000 subs without errors, it has to be something on your side. It's not this vmt.

Number one reason why things don't download to your computer from sites like this is that the program doesn't have the correct authority to write to the profram files folders. Find SFM.exe and launch it an administrator...

Number 2 reason why things don't download to your computer from sites like this is that you haven't got workshop turned on. Go to the SFM SDK and use the Edit Search Paths for Selected Mod and check it on

Number 3 reason why things don't download to your computer from sites like this is that your AV program is blocking it. Fix your AntiVirus set up.

I've followed the instructions in the guide (for Method 3), but I can't locate the file for your fix at all. When I followed the path you wrote below, I only make it up to SFM/game/workshop/model/workshop. There's no folder afterwards.
Pte Jack  [author] Jun 15, 2015 @ 9:44pm
If you've subbed items from the Workshop, they'll be in the

Steam\steamapps\common\SourceFilmmaker\game\workshop

Folder.

If Workshop is not showing up in the Search paths list, it's because SFM can't find a models, materials, particles or sound folder in the workshop folder.

I went to the location stated below, have, through SFM SDK, checked the Workshop folder, and I can't find it. It's not there.
Pte Jack  [author] Feb 8, 2015 @ 1:02pm
The vmt and the vtf file will be in your SFM\games\workshop\models\workshop\player\items\medic\xms2013_ruffled_beard\xms2013_ruffled_beard.vmt folder. Open the SFM SDK and choose Edit search paths (bottom of the option list) Check and make sure that the Workshop folder is "checked" on
Lindon Feb 8, 2015 @ 8:27am
Could you send me a link to download the vmt? I click subscribe and it won't download the file. I can't find it anywhere. Sorry if I'm probably missing something easy to spot btw

Thank you! I had to do this much time ago but... I used this fix here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOZSr5vuxq0 . That's it, thanks...

Thank you, couldn't figure it out myself, saved me many more hours of pain haha.
Pte Jack  [author] Sep 10, 2014 @ 8:48am
That is becuse this is a replacement for an original TF2 material. It downloads to a folder that is lower in priority than the call to the TF materials. To fix that you either have to move the materials to a folder that has a higher priority (usinng the same path) or replace the original materialss with these or move the game workshop call in the usermod/gameinfo.txt file above the game tf2 and game tf_movies calls in the searchpaths are of that file.
