i dont know what you need of the athena framework exactly but alot of stuff were adopted to the EBSG framework

The framework that this uses (Athena Framework) is discontinued. Unless that is picked up by someone else, I am not going to bother.

Actually, a correction to my previous statement and anyone who thinks the "crypto" terminology is completely made up and silly. Its actually based on cryptobiosis, which is the ability that some animals have to completely halt their metabolic processes when in adverse conditions and resume them at a later time. Presumably the implication is that cryptocaskets induce this state in humans somehow.

I also think its moreso actually meant to be a play on words. Its a combination of cryo and crypt, because in vanilla the sole technology we see it used for is called a casket. What are crypts often full of? Caskets. Whether that's clever or just really forced wordplay that makes things unnecessarily confusing is an exercise for the reader.

I've never actually heard that explanation, and it doesn't seem to be present in the current lore document, but I'll take your word for it. Even then though, that might be the in-universe lore explanation for the name, but Tynan absolutely came up with the play on words first and then made that up to justify it.

I am glad you didn't take what I said as an attack on you. That was unfair of me. But ya while it can be odd there is actually a reason in the base game to it's cryto. To save you the mega lore dump in world they use cryptovariable data latus to "Skip to the end dock." They use data to administer drugs to stabilize and replicate your dna so your body can't break down.

@SimonTheSorcerer ok im not the dev and this is starting to annoy me. It's crypto because the base game calls it that! Don't believe me try looking up cryosleep pod. Google will show you that's wrong.

If it's about cold and winter it should be CRYO, meaning cold, not CRYPTO, meaning bitcoi nand other cryptocurencies...

if it helps i think crypto is perfect as it does match the vicing gear and the game base wording.

I am one meltdown away from changing the mod name into cryo bionics.

Kind of. Crypto is a defined as a hidden jewel or a secret sect. Crypto in regards to what you are thinking is slang shorthand for cryptocurrency or a hidden currency.

You say not that kind of crypto, but that's the only kind of crypto. There isn't an alternate meaning of crypto that means cold.

I think the crypto in cryptosleep is referring to the minimal or secure nature of the casket and not the temperature but oh well.

Hoho I always wanted more Viking themed content! The crypto equipment from VFE Vikings was so cool, so I'm glad theres more of that theming now

I'm afraid I do not know then, as I tested this mod with Hell Bionics before I even published it.

@UtterlyFlabberghasted did you try drafting the pawn with the crypto bionics?

I think this mod is incompatible with hell bionics made using the same framework. I dont have any prompts to use the cold abilities despite having the cryptosiphon arms and crypto legs on the guy with a crypto core for good measure.

This really works well together witf VFE Vikings. Cant wait to make a playthrough of nordic bionic cryogenic nords!
