u choose a nice picture -> top mod with nice "instant see effect"
MrFox Oct 26, 2018 @ 7:13am
Yes, please make ajustable
RatBones Aug 12, 2018 @ 11:16pm
any way you could up the maximum force?
Master Anon Jul 13, 2018 @ 9:52am
@CharlieDingus did u read what i wrote? I dont want to affect ships - i want to nullify planetary gravity
Alec R. Jul 7, 2018 @ 2:12am
Does this generator affect hyperdrive, and can it be placed on spaceships? (sorry for asking, i can't test it on my own at the moment)
Nonexistent Jul 3, 2018 @ 3:28pm
@Master Anon you could install the Enhanced Gravity Generator mod. It affects ships without art mass as well.
Master Anon Jul 20, 2017 @ 9:27am
ill see if its any good
Screaming Angels  [author] Jul 20, 2017 @ 2:32am
@Master Anon : There were a few natural gravity mods made before the introduction of planets. They have all since been abandoned.
The best one IMO, which may still work is by Digi.

Master Anon Jul 19, 2017 @ 10:30am
why didnt any1 make natural gravity generator still?!
Screaming Angels  [author] Jul 19, 2017 @ 1:36am
I know this mod is old, but it still works.
The problem is @Master Anon, it doesn't work the way you want it to. This is not a natrual gravity generator. It's an artifical gravity generator.
It only affects players, floating objects like components, ore, ingots, and artifical mass blocks.
Master Anon Jul 18, 2017 @ 9:11am
its not working and i need natural gravity generator, cuz that restriction is horseshit - i need gravity generator, that nullifies natural gravity, cuz gravity doesnt divide between natural and artificial, just like light
Briggs4274 Jan 24, 2017 @ 3:36pm
i just found one!
Jump Drive Inhibitor
I only see one problem... you have to be standing still... but if you are lying in wait I guess thats no real issue.
Screaming Angels  [author] Jan 24, 2017 @ 12:54am
Jump inhibitor.
Briggs4274 Jan 23, 2017 @ 3:41pm
so we need to be watching for a Gravity well generator mod?
Nikolas March Jan 23, 2017 @ 5:49am
thats above my modding capabilities at the moment, was worth asking though cheers :D
still a few uses for this mod though...
Screaming Angels  [author] Jan 23, 2017 @ 3:01am
@Nikolas March : Not as a simple cube. It would need a complex ModAPI Script.
Nikolas March Jan 22, 2017 @ 3:55pm
thats unfortunate, is it not possible to alter it to be?
Screaming Angels  [author] Jan 22, 2017 @ 3:19pm
@Briggs : I didn't expect it to. This mod only allows the creation of a very large gravity field, and predates the Jump Drive which was added in July 2015, v01.090

Briggs4274 Jan 22, 2017 @ 1:22pm
Well... I did some testing with it... and as far as I can find, it does not effect jump drives whatsoever
Screaming Angels  [author] Jan 21, 2017 @ 9:28pm
@Nikolas March : Sure, you can use this mod. It is very out of date however.
Nikolas March Jan 21, 2017 @ 8:49pm
i would like permission to use this mod to help create a jump interdictor please :D
Briggs4274 Jan 4, 2017 @ 3:10pm
Imperial Star Destoyer varient, Interdictor Cruiser.
I wonder if this would effect jump drives?
Cause the Interdictor uses 4 gravity well projectors to hold enemy forces from jumping to warp.
banjomarx Jan 8, 2016 @ 2:02pm
unless you want to make a ship with a mega gravity well XD
Captain Chaos Dec 5, 2015 @ 5:20pm
wouldn't necessarily say redundant. Could be handy for making artificial planets/objects.
Screaming Angels  [author] Nov 14, 2015 @ 2:53pm
Yes, this mod is pretty redundant now.
It only goes up to 174Km wide, which would be close to what the 120Km planets have.
DarkLugia4000 Nov 14, 2015 @ 1:11pm
NO LONGER NEEDED WITH PLANETS
Nepperoni Nov 5, 2015 @ 1:42pm
@doncdxx try enhanced gravity it allows gravity generators to pull ships
Screaming Angels  [author] Nov 4, 2015 @ 4:02am
@doncdxx : you should try the Natural Gravity mod by Digi then.
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=378084827&searchtext=Natural+gravity
DonCDXX Nov 4, 2015 @ 1:09am
Could I request a version of this with natural gravity? It would be great for orbital manuevers practice, or for a black hole...
Nepperoni Aug 19, 2015 @ 3:18pm
Add enhanced gravity generators for orbital realism ish idk just do it.
lordkalem Mar 5, 2015 @ 6:48pm
just turn off inercial dampaners and put a single artaficial mass block on your ship. you can orbit just fine with a regular sphereical gravity generator.
Kraft51 Mar 4, 2015 @ 8:21am
is it possible to make your ship actually orbit the asteroid? because that would be awesome to have in game. i'm sure with the use timer blocks and sensors you could set up a thruster override to achieve this.
jarhead Mar 1, 2015 @ 2:02pm
nice
King Sirloin Feb 14, 2015 @ 5:10pm
Thankyou

http://setoolbox.codeplex.com
Unfortunately SEToolbox cannot provide center coordinates of the new version of asteroids.
You may be interested in trying the Admin Helper script also in my workshop items.
King Sirloin Feb 13, 2015 @ 6:38pm
What is SEToolbox? How do you open / use it?
DeAnti Jan 6, 2015 @ 3:29pm
could make a mod uses the sphere gen but it disables jetpack.. I would love to make small planets with gravity and no jet pack
Sepherchorde Jan 3, 2015 @ 5:39pm
I must disagree, this block could be amazingly useful in survival, you would just have to balance it somehow to make it reasonable.
Commander Link Dec 10, 2014 @ 2:00am
that's sad :( noooooo
and that's genius, thanks! i'll try that then...
also i see you made the admin commands mod too, cheers for that
Screaming Angels  [author] Dec 10, 2014 @ 1:50am
@Commander Link : sadly, the regular Gravity Generator cannot be modded in the same way, as it does not have a configurable max range or a base engery use rate.

That said, I had read (though I think they deleted it) that some added 8 sphereical generators, one at each corner of their world, 4 at 0.2G at one end, and 4 at -0.2 at the other end, which generated a large field pulling in one direction across the entire sector.
Commander Link Dec 9, 2014 @ 10:51pm
i have a request for you, if you will?
make a version of this but for the regular gravity generator? I want to make a world where the skybox is very close to the planet, and have a floating city, it would be cool to have just one grav gen rather than having to place 50+
Screaming Angels  [author] Nov 29, 2014 @ 9:45pm
I wish I could kill the power requirement, but it cannot be zero or negative. It must have a positive power value.
I have made the value very small now, so even 1Kg of uranium in a reactor should be enough to keep it going, or a Solar Panel.
I've also upped the build requirements. It's not a million Grav gens, just 6000, though I may still increase it further.
I do agree, this cube is not meant to be placed during Survival play.
DonCDXX Nov 29, 2014 @ 2:25pm
Can you make a version for server hosts? Something with no power usage, indestructable, and requires an insane ammout of materials like a million grav gens so it can only be realistically placed in creative.
ElectricAir42 Oct 28, 2014 @ 12:02pm
I will
Average Caucasian Shark Oct 26, 2014 @ 1:14am
nice
Screaming Angels  [author] Oct 24, 2014 @ 5:09pm
@ElectricAir42 : looks good!
Maybe you want to try orbiting these?
Planet and moon
Large Earth asteroid
ElectricAir42 Oct 24, 2014 @ 11:28am
I did what you said and was able to achieve 'stable' orbit around a moon you can see the vid here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zicrtgvKxmg
ElectricAir42 Oct 23, 2014 @ 1:58pm
please oh please make a version that affects all blocks i want to have a realistic world where i am on a planet and to get to space i have to fight the gravity to get to orbit that would be awesome if it is possible
Cain Oct 17, 2014 @ 10:08pm
hopefully they will open the API up more soon so all these awesome mods can be fully realized. once they do im going to use this one to do some crazy things lol
Screaming Angels  [author] Oct 17, 2014 @ 8:19pm
Currently range is the only modifiable in the definition. I really wish I could allow a larger range in the gravity, especially on the standard generator. :sadpanda:
It's only my list of things to modify if we get more access to the API (unless someone else beats me to it).
