And I’ll also end up testing the naming of characters and world with colored names at some point if I remember, and report back if something breaks again.
says "modders must use defensive programming" and says "object reference not set to an instance" at "SortingFolderClass.Save() line 326" and "SortingFolders.Unload() at line 450"
at TheKnightMod.LightingSystem.CreateRender() in TheKnightMod\LightingSystem.cs:line 261
at Hook<System.Void TheKnightMod.LightingSystem::On_Main_LoadWorlds(Terraria.On_Main+orig_LoadWorlds)>()
by the way, it is foldEErs in the option interface
Instead its just that the mod dosent show them because some error occurred while loading the folder structure - because i was using ":" as separators for characters xP
*didnt know you could neither place items in or color text on players and worlds...
Let's say I name a folder
[i:1] Pickaxe
The folder would then show the sprite for an Iron Pickaxe with the word Pickaxe displayed after it.
I did this for the Soul of Eternity's item ID, and after getting all the way through Hive Mind, upon reloading the game, my character and both worlds I had were gone.
Elaborate
The tModLoader patch did something, making me unable to delete some parts of the code that i deleted before (cuz it would have never run), now i just let the code stay there, even though its dumb, but it works... idk...
Part of the May Tmodloader release updated how the Worlds menu loads to improve performance so it's likely at least one function was changed or removed that the mod relied on, breaking it. Hopefully catNull will be able to update it soon!
curious though how this mod suddenly "becomes incompatible" with the new version despite it just added folders to the main menu lol
This is annoying- I've been experiencing an issue where my character list sorts strangely with Folders at the top (Favorited characters appear a few slots down from the top, below some unfavorited characters, rather than at the top), so I was very happy to move Folders to the bottom as that fixed the sorting issue.
No, the data is saved in a file on your pc so it dosent matter if the mod is on or off, the file/data will stay untill you remove it (the file).
I dont know about the different folders for world and characters, its just that theres a lot of code to rewrite for that, maby at some point in the future...
But the option for foders on top/bottom is now implimented.
And also put different Folders for worlds and Characters, bcause i still see a folder that i made for my Worlds in the character section
Added.
