Foldering - A Terraria Sorting Mod

Description
Foldering - A Terraria Sorting Mod is dedicated to providing you, the user, with organization in your worlds and players through the use of folders, similar to those in Windows Explorer.

With this mod, you can create folders with specific names and color combinations and rearrange players within these folders. Folders display the number of players within them and any subfolders, along with world count and the playtime of the players.

Both worlds and players utilize the same folder system, making it easy to associate a world with its corresponding player. The folders allow for reusing player names, facilitating the identification of the mods a player uses and the worlds they have been a part of, assuming a well-thought-out system has been established.

While in the character select menu, several new buttons will appear. These buttons enable you to create a new folder, navigate to the previous folder, and view the current folder(s) you are within (the path; just a piece of text). To move a player, click the upward arrow located to the left of the trash bin at the bottom right of the player, then place them in a folder by clicking the drop icon that appears on it, or by pressing the downward arrow in the bottom right to drop them into the current folder.

Best of luck on your organized adventures in the world of Terraria!

Special thanks to Terraman for providing the art used in this mod's folders.

I noticed a while ago that the console has been spamming "a"s on a single line. Hasn't really bothered me but now I wanted to find the source, and it seems like it's from this mod.

You can delete favourited characters when they're in folders. Is it possible for u to fix this?

Oh yes, and I did also end up noticing another oddity: if you try to create two characters with the same name, it “overwrites” the old one, but more specifically the new one shows up but the other will vanish and you’d have to go in without the mod and recreate the character with a different name, not even just rename it in game, if you want to use it properly.

And I’ll also end up testing the naming of characters and world with colored names at some point if I remember, and report back if something breaks again.

hey, im getting an exception thrown by this mod if mod loading is interrupted by another mod that also throws an exception.

says "modders must use defensive programming" and says "object reference not set to an instance" at "SortingFolderClass.Save() line 326" and "SortingFolders.Unload() at line 450"

also, this dosent delete player/world data - or mess with it at all.

Instead its just that the mod dosent show them because some error occurred while loading the folder structure - because i was using ":" as separators for characters xP

*didnt know you could neither place items in or color text on players and worlds...
