I have a problem with the mod in multiplayer. I built everything according to the instructions, and it worked perfectly. But after we save and log in again later, the elevator can still be called, but you can no longer select a floor inside the cabin. This happens every time we restart the game.
If we remove the rotoblock and rebuild it, it works again.
We're not using a dedicated server — I'm hosting directly through the game.

@bigbadvoodoodady_1 . Your questions are answered in the video and in the description text. Only this version is supported here. I'm not aware of another version available that actually works.

So, it's impossible to go from one floor, to the next floor up?

Tried both versions, and neither of them worked. Meaning there has to be one block between top and bottom?

This version works in multiplayer. The cargo version does not work in multiplayer.

Ive tested this mod for Jack over the what years now? And every time ive come across a issue has been mod conflict. Or I didnt follow directions correctly. Also yes make sure Experimental mode is on.

Its not support in Multiplayer far as I know. It might work but I seen some say yes and others say no doesnt..

He doesnt mean to sound gruff but we have trouble shooted errors so many times "me testing him fixing lol" over time that gotten tired of it always turning out to be user error. Gets frustrating for him is all. As this isnt only mod he keeps up.

Is Experimental Mode enabled on your pc? If it's disabled that might be why things like this mod don't work. Main Menu > Options > Game > Experimental Mode is a checkbox.
Make sure it's checked.

I didn't want to waste your time. It wasn't a bad joke from me. I tested the mod on my neighbor's PC and it works perfectly. I don't know what the problem is with my PC. Thank you for your great support and the quick response to my problem.

@Hawkeye : MES is another set of mods that's known to conflict with this mod. If you do have MES running as well, then you don't have only this mod installed, and I'm sorry but you have to make a choice between having MES and having this mod work.

@Sally Smithson : Thank you. You brought that issue to everyone's attention. I have created a "Known Issues" section in the description, listed the MES problem in it, and shared how to correct it. I apologize but finding and correcting whatever the conflict is is an absurd amount of tedious work I can't get myself motivated to do. I'd have to dig through all of the MES framwork's code and all of MES's addon's code and compare all of them with this mod's code.

Do you have MES installed? it broke the elevators for me. After disabling it i had to rebuild the entire grid to get it to work consistently again

Sounds like either mod conflict or missed a step. Im headed to bed. But I can test mod as well tomorrow. But for longest time this mod has been running fine. Jack been keeping this mod running for ever :-)

Majority of time it wont work.. its always been a mod conflict. Or accidentally missed a step when building it.

i have only installed this mod. i build it how it shows in the video.the elevator loks like in video but when i want to use it (push the number buttons inside)the elevator do not move. must i deactivate mes in game settings ?

@Hawkeye: It does work. I just tested it. You either didn't build it correctly or you have a mod conflict. Are you running Modular Encounters Systems?

Long ago i did similar lol I had totally forgotten about it. Think when original modder had uploaded this... Cant b sure but was LONG ago lol I cant remember what it was but was a glitch that would happen at times that made me stop doing it...

Thanks! I didn't create this mod. It got abandoned and game updates broke it. I made it work again. Credits to the original mod and its author are in the description. I'm curious; how did you make a monorail out of it? Share screenshots or a video please.

Tested. I built 4 different elevators on the same grid 100 blocks high from the planet's surface. No crash. Game ran smoothly, elevators operated smoothly. I need your world (save) to see what's going on in your game, tangosierra7.

The 200 block limit is per elevator. Each one we build can be 200 blocks high top to bottom.
I haven't ever had this crash my game, but I haven't built an elevator that tall other than years ago when I was testing the block limit though either.

Share your world please so I can see it and test it on my (potato of a) system. I'll see if I can get to the 200 block limit without crashing in the meantime.

Is the 200 block limit per run or total blocks? I had just used the mod to build a length of elevator that ended at under 100 blocks. While constructing a second separate run I had a CTD.

I switched my world to creative to reset the entire grid, just to be safe. Now that i removed everything of MES it works, for now..

I see. I reloaded the test world I made and saw that it is true that this happens. That's beyond my skill set to fix because I'd have to dig through MES to find the conflict. MES is way beyond what I can do.

It sucks but until a fix magically appears, or I find it which is unlikely, re-doing the rotor block is the workaround we'll have to deal with. This shouldn't and hopefully doesn't happen on servers.

In my case the elevators break after reloading, they function fine upon being built, but the moment the save loads in again, the buttons break

strange, i had a savefile where i had it with just this mod and blank MES and only when MES was active the elevator would break

Sally Smithson: That is not true. I have just tested it with MES and a few of it's addons installed (Trade Collation, Imber, Parallax) and it worked perfectly. You probably have a conflict with another or multiple other mods.

Maybe. I haven't gotten SE2 yet and don't plan to until it's a full game. There isn't much to it right now and I don't think there will be much to it for a couple years. I'll of course be modding when I do get it and this mod will of course be one of the first ones I try to make for it, if the default game doesn't include something like this by then.

I wish I could fulfill the requests to increase the block limit so we can use it as a space elevator. I would have done that long ago if it didn't tank performance. Plus, as I pointed out in the discussions topic I just made and linked, if we increased the block limits to allow it to be a space elevator with the very slow speed the elevator moves at it would take forever and a day to go that far.

I would gladly do it if it didn't tank performance and it was fast enough to be reasonable to use as a space elevator.
