Cause the main mod hasnt been updated to 3.4. Need this one and another for GC to work for multiplayer. They added a bunch of stuff in 3.4 so its taking them a bit.

So someone takes up a mod you mostly and updates it but also takes it in a different direction, adding his own units, putting his own spin on it creating almost a separate experiance. They put in the work into it and has rightful success with that. And then you issue a DMCA Takedown to that mod and update your own forcing people to use yours.

Why can't both mods exist and people pick which one they want to use? Neither of you make money off this process so why issue the Takedown.

Having issues with hard crashes on trying to load into saves.

Does one of the factions have the impellor carrier thats optionally enabled in the main mod and i missed it or is it not in the list?

No idea what could be causing that tbh, there's a discord server full of people who do 6+ player gc's and it works perfectly for them, so it must be a problem on your end.

Is there any major issue with engaging with other players in combat? Tried fighting a friend, I was Zsinj and he was Pentastar, and game crashes everytime we retreat from battle.

Additionally:

New republic tech upgrades disappear if you set the age from 1-5. It only appears after setting it to age 7.

From what I've gathered it seems to work like this:

A start from year 5 - no tech upgrade option, stuck at level one.
Year 4 - 1 tech upgrade to lvl 2
Year 3 - 2 techs to lvl 3

Etc etc.

If you start from year 1 then you get all 5 tech upgrade options.

If we put it at 5 then there are indeed no options for tech level 1-5.
But at a dreadnaught shipyard the biggest ship (only tested Eriadu Auth for now) you can build is an enforcer picket

Only thing I can suggest is setting it to 5, as that's as high as tech levels go. If that still doesn't work then I'll have to look into it some more.

Sorry If I sound giga dumb, but I see that I can change the starting age (1 through 7) in the lobby, but after setting it to 7 the game still asks us to advance to tech 1, 2, 3 etc etc.

Am I just being dumb and missing something? I've reinstalled the mod, we are not having a version mismatch thankfully so we can still enjoy it nonetheless.

@Topszlix Hello, glad you're enjoying the submod. I have updated it to include custom settings for the campaigns. The host should see a button either next to or near the Load button that will allow you to change the settings for your campaign, this will include the starting year/tech level.

Please make sure both of your mods are up to date, if you are having a version mismatch issue or do not see this new button, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling this submod.

If not, in what file can I change the tech upgrade timer to be shorter?

It's been discussed as a possibility before, such as the regional conflicts. Might add some more smaller ones once I find the time.

The map xml has an entry for each playable team, so make sure when adding starting forces that you do it for each entry in the file. Each entry looks like this:
<Campaign Name="Full_Galaxy_Medium_MP_Chiss">
With each teams entry having their name replaced at the end for example:
<Campaign Name="Full_Galaxy_Medium_MP_Rebel">

@Gerry You can find a list of heroes for each faction in Data\XML\Heroes
You will want to find where it says <HeroCompany Name= and copy the name of the hero you want. Keep in mind the one you want to copy will have _team in the name, for example:
<HeroCompany Name="Pestage_Team"> You will copy the text "Pestage_Team"

Once you have the hero you want, you will want to go into the map xml and make them spawn on a planet. The maps can be found in Data\XML\Conquests\Multiplayer

Each planet has some starting forces, for example <Starting_Forces>Rebel, Kothlis, MC30c</Starting_Forces>
You can just copy and paste that and then replace the unit name, in this case MC30c with the hero you want, for example Pestage_Team

It would look like this: <Starting_Forces>Rebel, Kothlis, Pestage_Team</Starting_Forces>
That would give the hero pestage to the rebels on Kothlis (although I advise only giving faction heroes to their respective faction)

Any ships from the market were just added to their roster. I removed the requirement to have a ship market and made it accessible via tech, although I may not have gotten all the ships, don't remember specifically what their space roster is rn.

@kingmichael500 I don't know as I haven't tried using other submods with this. It depends on what the submod does. I suggest in the launch options you put their submod first and this one second, then thrawns revenge last and see it that works.

As long as the submod does not make any changes to the campaign files or unit files then it should be fine. Any unit changes will probably stop the tech system from working.
