Psychic bond seems wonky when one Pawn has multiple higmates. For example Higmate 2 gets into coma. Normal pawns Psychic bond is disturbend but with the name of Higmate 1 wich still gets the boost of the bond she has with the normal pawn.

And Both Bond partmers get the boost as used to. but normal pawn diesnt get them stacked even tough he has 2 higmates.

Not sure though to wich degree the secound thing is just a bug or intendet

is there a way to make a highmate not care about orintation? for example having a highmate bond with the female baron who was awarded them.

Well, I happen to be a master of that discipline!

No sleep, no fucc
CTH2004 Mar 24 @ 11:44am
okay, I can't quite figure out, how does "lovin' dependency" work when combined with, say, Never Sleep? or a gene that makes them need only 10% normal sleep?

I'm trying to figure it out, but my tests are not giveing any sort of useful data
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Mar 23 @ 8:29am
Can you replicate those breakups with only this mod? I've never been able to
cyanobot Mar 23 @ 8:25am
@Attention Deficit Dave
Harmless works the same way as unarmed children -- they are the lowest priority targets for raiders. If there are no higher priority targets, they will still be targeted.
cyanobot Mar 23 @ 8:24am
I'm experiencing breakups of poly marriages when using the Initiate Lovin' ability. Lowmate uses Initiate Lovin on one of her three wives (who are all also married to each other except one of the possible pairs, who are lovers). They all share the same ideo, which permits unlimited spouses and lovers for either gender, and also has the precept Physical Love: Free. All of the relationships between either of the Lovin' participants and the other two immediately suffer Breakup. (Normal lovin' triggered autonomously from being in bed together has caused no problems).
Attention Deficit Dave Mar 16 @ 5:41pm
I feel like i might be misunderstanding the Harmless gene. I created a new map with three pawns who have Harmless and Violence Disabled as genes, possessing no weapons, and not having been drafted for 3+ days. but when I then spawn a raid, the raiders still fire at them. Am I misunderstanding what the Harmless gene does?
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Mar 8 @ 2:12am
Yes, it should all be fixed now
batatafritada Mar 8 @ 1:38am
Gentlemen, they updated it. The mod seems fixed again. Thank you for saving my children.
Sterling Kerman Mar 7 @ 11:02pm
Gucci, thanks for y'all's fantastic work!
In the meantime, if anyone is curious, manually installing the older version of 2.01 fixes the issue (May 1). The issue persists if you use the latest 2.02 stable one.

Sokyran pushed a possible fix, it will be updated as soon as Oskar is up
Sterling Kerman Mar 7 @ 10:55pm
Man, that's a lot of comments about the issue. One thing I felt interesting about the crib situation is that I tried spawning in a new colonist at life stage baby and for some reason they were able to get put into cribs fine, while my colony-born babies still weren't. Certainly a weird disconnect.

This mod update later made it impossible for my individual alien humans to eat, but it will work after disabling it

Just did a test: unsubscribed from the mod and deleted the local files, then resubscribed and activated it again. The babies who were not getting in their cribs before are now able to be put into cribs. Not sure if it will happen again but will let you know if it does.

EDIT: Nevermind, the babies couldn’t be placed in their cribs again. Hope it gets fixed soon
batatafritada Mar 7 @ 4:20pm
Same thing happening as the others. Please lads I beg of you; my children are dying. After the update my colonists have developed some hatred towards their own babies and they refuse to feed them. Please sir, save my children.
pbergy Mar 7 @ 3:29pm
Had some of my babies in cribs and others just not staying in them at all. Removed Highmates from my mod list first to start my search for the problem and turns out this was it. Don't know exactly why but seemed to think that they could stand up and do thing when they obivously couldn't. It sucks but at least it was one of the easier mods to remove from the mod-list. hope it gets resolved soon.
jcgoris Mar 7 @ 3:10pm
Same as @Verando - my babies broke sometime this afternoon, always "standing" and pawns nonstop trying to put them to bed. Feeding also doesn't work, pawns drop babies before feeding is done. Had a nursery full of starving babies. Disabling Highmates mod solved it.
Laecard Mar 7 @ 2:45pm
Also, I did make sure the VE framework is updated. The problem still persists.
Laecard Mar 7 @ 2:42pm
After the recent update babies crying or giggling causes the game to throw red errors
Verando Mar 7 @ 2:36pm
I am no mod dev but i really think it has something to do with Highmates.
seanag13 Mar 7 @ 2:17pm
I also have the issue where pawns could not eat. I rolled back to the last version of Vanilla Races Expanded - Highmate using the github and the issue seems to not be present in my game anymore. I have the latest version of the VE Framework too.
Verando Mar 7 @ 1:56pm
Digging around in comments of the framework and someone else was having the same issue and you stated its fixed.

is this a steam issue at this point not pushing out the update for the framework?
steam for me is stating it was updated about 2 hours ago
Verando Mar 7 @ 1:49pm
Ive uninstalled the Framework and reinstalled it and it is still doing the same thing.

steam says its updated.
this is still persisting even on a fresh colony start.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Mar 7 @ 12:51pm
Your VE Framework is not updated
Verando Mar 7 @ 12:34pm
***Updated***
After Recent update, this mod is preventing Pawns from Mincho, The Choco Slime HAR ver. from completing the eat food task. They stop right as they finish the bar and drop the food on the floor.

huglib wouldnt send a report with CTRL f12 so i paste binnned the error and sent in a bug report.

everything worked fine prior to Highmate update.

i do run a lot of mods but the error states highmates and when i turn off highmates, pawns eat as usual and when i turned it back on, the error was thrown again with highmates a couple lines down.
Sarg Bjornson  [author] Mar 7 @ 11:32am
Your Framework is not properly updated
German Sniper Mar 7 @ 11:22am
i think todays update somehow broke newborns ability to stay in cribs.
I turned off the game and it was still broken and while checking the error it mentioned vfe highmates so i uninstalled this mod and the baby was fixed.
Oskar Potocki  [author] Mar 7 @ 9:06am
Besides, what you do with the Highmate is up to you - you can free them and make them feel valued. If you think about it, if you were to refuse the highmate, someone else would just get 2. And you can't control what that someone else would do to them. Thus, if anything, it's morally questionable to REFUSE the gift.
Oskar Potocki  [author] Mar 7 @ 9:04am
We like the fact that the Empire forces an uncomfortable situation onto the player. We find it lore-fitting.
Cloak Mar 7 @ 8:55am
I dunno, seems very in-character for the Empire to force a gift like that on someone. Like a White Elephant gift.
Sumatris Mar 7 @ 4:13am
@Sarianos: About 3,000 ^^. I'm fully aware of Rimworld's (lack of) morals, I normally don't have a problem with it, and I've done a fair amount of shady shit myself. Still, those were all my personal choices, and I was never forced to do anything I didn't want to. This example here though? No chance at all to avoid it if you want to max out your noble rank with the Empire.
[RTB] Sarianos Mar 7 @ 3:38am
"very morally questionable" Huh, I am genuinely curios how many hours you've got in this game.
Sumatris Mar 5 @ 1:26am
Is there a way to disable the highmate event upon reaching the baron rank? By that time I usually have a complete colony and the highmate is just disruptive. Plus I find it very morally questionable how you basically get assigned a slave without a chance to do anything about it.

CE handles CE patches, so adding a link to one which may be abandoned would be counter productuve

Greetings esteemed Modders. I come asking a question in regards to the dominant and recessive genes, since I was wondering about how it works if you use IVF but you use a surrogate instead does it still work the? Many thanks and kind regards.

After verifying the integrity of the game files, the missing traits were back in the character editor. If anyone else is having similar issues, I hope it helps.

they arent going to change the desc
the point of the faq is to effectively tell people to take it up with ce
Trivia Vanille Feb 7 @ 9:30pm
hey just to let you know, according to the official Compatible Mods list on CE's github, this mod is indeed compatible with CE; in fact, all of your VRE mods are on the list except Wasters
