Excellent campaign. Thanks. Nothing much to say, please continue to offer such gret adventure.

In the styx Jungle I used the "cure wound" near the wounded mudder (told him I would heal him) he tells me to meet him later at the hideout. But he stays there on the map.

In the temple, I went through the initiation, found the warden key. Went below, go the skeletal hand of the priest.

The wounded mudder is still there in the jungle and the mudder camp hideout has zero entry point....

Any idea here ? I went through all rooms. From other message I think at this point the hideout should unlock... But it does not.

In Kavlodeus' Soul Port, where the three prisoners are in the long row of cells, when I fast travel to that location, it places two of my characters in "jail". [\spoiler]

Very Highly enjoyed!

On note about the lava room. I buffed movement speed on everyone and hasted everyone so I was able to double dash everyone to the top right room by turn two (just randomly guessed) and found the four pads for the exit. I stood on them and combat ended and I was able to click on the door and exit. I couldn't see any torches to head for like the dm note said so I didn't know where to go.

I am having a great time with this adventure! I've left with Ken and I'm curious about a few things so far. I have two mutilated Bullette heads that are marked quest items but I never used them for anything, did I miss a quest?
I ask becuase now I have quest items of Giant Ape Heads and I'm wondering if there's a quest there.

Also I'm curious about inaccessible chests in the first town area. Am I missing something? I saw someone mention misty step. none of my characters had that but is that the only option?

Also as a note to @rwolkey the Emporium in the second town had pretty much all the best gear so don't miss it!

I have nothing but good things to say about this adventure. I had the right mix of characters that, while challenging, made for a fun set of encounters. Like others on this discussion, I found the story to be a great new spin on the adventure. The tone and pace were appreciated. Congratulations on a job well done!

The end of the campaign needs serious tuning. One of the final sections is, in blunt terms, an unbalanced failure of an encounter that simply spawns as many enemies as possible.

Some recommendations:
- Remove the earth elemental spawns. The structure of the level allows for what should be a fun and tense battle, where the party essentially runs from the overflowing magma. The fact that where the party is running to is also being swamped with fresh enemy spawns removes this effect, and replaces it with a sense of slogging through lava until it inevitably kills you.
- Reduce the large elemental spawns. If one or two of them were on the board at a time total, the encounter would still be brutal, but not potentially unwinnable as it is now.
- Just reduce the number of or frequency of the spawns.

I wanted to be more thorough with my remarks, but steam's comment limits are absurd. The story is fun and interesting, but the end needs fixed.

Currently playing this at lv 8 and having lots of fun (after completing your first adventure), but I'm hugely disappointed by the second town. The merchants offer the EXACT same items in both towns. I play rpgs to advance my characters and buy/build cool new items to improve them. Plus, if you offer ways for us to make potions/scrolls at least let us find or buy the ingredients to craft them. I can't create anything, because there's ZERO Angry Violets (among others) around.

Finding the huge pile of prime items and magical item scrolls is keeping my item crafter busy, but my potion and arrow makers have nothing to do.

At least add 3-4 new magical items, 4-5 new scrolls, or new poison arrow/bolt scrolls to look forward to buying. I am sitting on 5400 gp with nothing to buy. That's not fun. One of the best parts of rpgs is, "I need 1226 gp to buy that thingie back in town, so my characrter can get +1." Your second town offers none of this.

What a brilliantly produced adventure. Well polished and with great writing. Absolutely top Tier. Highly recommend.
TazzieDevil Jul 5, 2024 @ 7:27pm
chris14531 if you talk to the people in the area (try around the bar there are a few there) the quest will update and you will be able to leave the area. I got stuck here too as there are no blue boxes to exit the area - But I worked it out after a while so I thought I'd share. :)
chris14531 Jun 30, 2024 @ 7:50am
I don't get it. Stuck at the first screen. There's no way to proceed outside of the town.

This is one of the biggest problems with this game. Broken Quests

Not done yet, but I wanted to shout out just how incredible this module is. There is a real sense of atmosphere and wonder built into the locations, and it really immerses you in the campaign - the fear and desperation in act 1 is palpable, and I love the worldbuilding for the act 2 city. It's such a loving homage to Sigil and the broader planescape setting, and the philosophical tone really works for the story of these specific characters. Also, what a great way to maintain the feeling that the player characters are small fish in a big pond. Also, I am going through the story as generally good characters, and I love that you have to go out of your way to try to do good, or refuse to do things to try and take a moral path. Evil is actually tempting, and expected given the setting, which makes morality an actual choice, which I really appreciate. Also, I love the itemization (totally using that black market greatsword in the game of D&D I run) and challenge!

Just finished it, i play on scav. First of all, I have to say that the story, tone, locations and overall vibe of the campaign are amazing, if you're running an irl table on this level your players are so lucky. I had alot of fun playing it, but, this campaign is simply too much for Solasta. Overambitious doesn't begin to describe it, and while you used various mechanics quite clever to get around the engine's limitations, it felt a bit unpolished at times. That's not to say this isn't an amazing campaign, with a little bit of polish and some bugs sorted (stun weapon is bugged, several keys are bugged) it will be one of the best. Pacing, balancing and gear were superbly done, I enjoyed the scarcity of OP magic items compared to other campaigns, though it inevitably got quite easy in the later stages.

It will need to be in your inventory for the quest to succeed. Have you double checked the corpse and merchants to make sure you didn't accidentally sell it? If you don't feel like backtracking to check those things, this quest is optional, so you can proceed, a coming fight will just be a bit harder.
Serotonin Simp Jan 23, 2024 @ 2:01pm
@_Defenestrator_ I defeated the mound and got the quest but can't find the poison in any of my characters inventories
_Defenestrator_  [author] Jan 22, 2024 @ 6:38am
@Seratonin Simp to double check, are you using the potent poison dropped by the mutated mound in the NE corner of the jungle?
Serotonin Simp Jan 21, 2024 @ 5:33am
Hey Defenestrator. I'm thoroughly enjoying your mod. I'm currently stuck with the poison quest. I have collected the poison but when I go to the barracks and click on the barrels it comes up with the dialog regarding the perfect thing to poison but i can't actually poison the ale. Is there something I''m missing?
Tomkatt Jan 3, 2024 @ 8:03pm
Just finished, what an incredible campaign. This is the best I've played so far for sure.
Dwells in Basement Dec 29, 2023 @ 4:55pm
The morningstar of smashing, a quest reward from the city of doors person who purchases the prisoners from you says it has a saving throw of 8 to prevent its stun effect, but the saving throw doesn't appear to work, as enemies are stunned even when rolling above an 8
Tarasboulba Dec 12, 2023 @ 5:03am
Excellent adventure. I really enjoyed it. You've done a great job ! Bravo.
Tingly Nov 30, 2023 @ 6:11pm
It wasn't immediately apparent that it was my party who had made deals with devils until it started, which was a little frustrating. I can deal with it, but I'll probably want to create a more morally flexible party first.
Dwells in Basement Nov 23, 2023 @ 8:46am
@_Defenestrator_ Yes. I tried pausing the game and having all 5 of my party walk onto the teleporter, and it looked like they teleported right next to where they were standing. I just assumed I was unable to use it given the 5 person party, but it looks like it's just there for show as you stated. Thanks for the reply.
_Defenestrator_  [author] Nov 22, 2023 @ 12:39pm
@Dwells in Basement are you referring to the third level of that dungeon? If so, that is just there for looks, it doesn't actually go anywhere.
Dwells in Basement Nov 22, 2023 @ 10:07am
@_Defenestrator_ It's the 4 person teleporter in the initiation chambers in the room with circular columns
_Defenestrator_  [author] Nov 21, 2023 @ 11:30am
@Dwells in Basement I'd hate for you to have to restart. If you let me know where you got stuck I can push a fix. I tried to put clickable exits next to any blue square exits for just this reason, so be sure to double check, but I may have missed one.
_Defenestrator_  [author] Nov 21, 2023 @ 11:29am
@rustythorn I used the Unfinished Business mod to overlap the entrance with individual teleporters.
Dwells in Basement Nov 18, 2023 @ 7:59am
I began playing the campaign with a party of 5 adventurers, but I had to stop that run because of a teleporter issue. The mod up to that point was one of the best mods I've ever played for solasta. The combats were challenging and interesting. I'll have to restart the run with a 4 person party.

I would advise adding a note to the description stating the mod isn't meant for more than 4 adventurers though.
rustythorn Nov 6, 2023 @ 8:32am
i forget the details now, but you had a map where the party got teleported to different starting locations. i want to do the same but i can't figure out how to make that happen instantly upon arrival to a new map. i made a temporally solution where the party steps into individual teleports after arriving at the new map but that is cumbersome. plus i was hoping to send the lead character to one location and but my temporally allows the party to choice which teleport they want. FYI i'm not using any mods.

fun game by the way
Desmodus Nov 5, 2023 @ 2:12pm
Great module. I'm currently level 8 with a team of 4 warlocks, which seemed appropriate. I may regret the lack of healing word at some point, but so far, it's been a blast.

A few minor issues:
1) In the back of the mudder camp, near the back entrance to the barracks, there's a chest by a boat which seems to only be reachable by dimension door. (It was also the only way I found back.) Is that intentional?

2) In Kardiff's fortress there's a chest which is completely hidden in a pillar but visible on the map and reachable. Right next to it is a "Gabordian Necromancer" which uses a female elf model but is described as a "tattooed man".

3) I think I'm about done with Kav's port, but the only key I've found (iron) doesn't seem to release the forgotten souls. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Thanks for a very fun adventure!
_Defenestrator_  [author] Nov 5, 2023 @ 6:54am
@torvon you need to find the poison first. It is dropped by the mutated mound in the NE corner of the jungle map.
torvon Nov 5, 2023 @ 3:47am
Hey Defenestrator -- thx for the great mod. I snuck into the barracks and am at the stack of ale, and get the dialogue that this could be poisoned. But I already talked to the rebellion and have the quest to poison this. I just ... don't know how? I clicked on the barrels with all my characters but don't get any options to poison, just that this would be the place to do so.
Captain Miller Oct 13, 2023 @ 7:02am
I have just finished the campaign. It was very good and fun to play. Please make more
Reys Oct 1, 2023 @ 10:26am
This is a brilliant campaign. The story is unusual and engaging. The maps are realistic. The encounters are varied and you cannot buy recipes - which in my opinion is a good thing. Thoroughly enjoyed this, stands out for the story.:steamhappy:
ksfeeman Sep 2, 2023 @ 9:03pm
ok thanks
_Defenestrator_  [author] Sep 2, 2023 @ 6:25am
@ksfeeman thanks for reaching out. That tree is a quick return from an area you will later have access to. To progress with the story, speak with people around town and some of them will tell you of the next area called Styx Jungle.
ksfeeman Sep 1, 2023 @ 4:52pm
I'm at the Mudder part, and there is that tree I'm trying to cut down, but says there is not path to destination. Otherwise, I cant find anywhere else to go.
cigarking Aug 30, 2023 @ 3:45pm
Enjoying the campaign. Thanks for putting it together. One suggestion, it sure would be nice if could drop (or sell) some of these quest items. I made the mistake a looting a chest for of one and it's cluttering up my inventory.
Darf Aug 30, 2023 @ 10:13am
Excellent Campaign! This was my first user campaign and I selected it based on the high ratings. It did not disappoint. I would say I even enjoyed it as much if not more than the CoM campaign. I am approaching the end of the story and it was much deeper and longer than I anticipated. The encounters I found quite challenging. I got to employ several different tactics. Lots of skill checks and legitimate uses for several abilities. I loved when I convinced the mage to cut off his own hand for me by intimidating him! I went back and fought him for fun though just to see.
_Defenestrator_  [author] Aug 27, 2023 @ 9:56am
@acslacker This campaign uses assets from all of the DLC, so all of them are required to play. If you are interested in a campaign that does not require DLC, you could check out my first campaign, Interdimensional Escalation.
acslacker Aug 24, 2023 @ 9:12am
I apologize if this was asked and answered before. Which DLC are needed to play? Palace of Ice only to raise the cap to 16?
_Defenestrator_  [author] Aug 23, 2023 @ 5:26am
@Silence Will Fall you have to unlock it through dialogue in camp, then the exit to it will be on the east side of the map
Silence Will Fall Aug 23, 2023 @ 5:01am
I can't find the styx jungle!
Uthor Aug 12, 2023 @ 3:36pm
Great adventure, thoughtfully put together, had a blast. Party was Monk, Barb5/Fighter12, warlock and wizard, totally kick arse. Hope you make some more, this was well worth playing
Freakshowboy Aug 12, 2023 @ 3:36pm
Awesome map, well worth playing. Thank Defenestrator
_Defenestrator_  [author] Aug 7, 2023 @ 5:14pm
@Bargar thanks! I'll fix that in a future patch

@paolo.bera the door is initially blocked by guards that you need to first talk to
paolo.bera Aug 7, 2023 @ 3:01am
I can't find the ministry of the inner planes in Government plaza...
Bargar Aug 6, 2023 @ 8:26am
Very minor bug Thief's stash behind potion vendor - you are unable to loot the armour due to rubble on the floor
_Defenestrator_  [author] Aug 4, 2023 @ 8:05pm
@Bargar yeah that sounds like something with the base game. Definitely weird though.
Bargar Aug 4, 2023 @ 6:04am
Just had a very strange bug where my Wall of Fire teleported with an Ethereal Spider when it did a phased jump. I assume that this bug is caused by Solata itself or the UB Mod, rather than your campaign.
_Defenestrator_  [author] Aug 3, 2023 @ 4:22pm
Hi xiretsa, that is a secret entrance/exit that you can access from within, but only after walking around and entering through the main entrance elsewhere in the sewer
