When using mods from the Nexus, does the Nexus Mod Manager still work? or do we have to use Vortex from now on??

I think the heat dissapation buff should be toned down a bit. +20% for the first tier is really high. I think it should be at least reduced to the 12.5% of the heat capacity buff.

It's another thing that was omitted in MW5 (the missile spread stat), so it can be confusing to those paying attention to their stats, rather than those just installing an upgrade and assuming it will do what it says it will do.

The laser duration affects just the laser weapons RoF if I remember seeing that stat change correctly whenever it was applied to mechs with laser weaponry so it pretty much would do nothing to anything else, the fact that upgrade did affect the vanilla stats I was wondering what the missile spread did when it didn't seem to affect any stats, so I had to just speculate if it was even functioning.

@Cursed Hawkins - It affects the amount of spread missiles have when they fire. The stat doesn't show up (in at least the vanilla Mechlab), but if you look at it while you're playing the game you can see it in effect. (You will have to looks somewhat closely, however!)

If you play using YAML, you may see a difference in the spread statistics if you compare the same weapon either before and after applying, or between different 'Mechs - provided they don't have any unique 'Mech quirks that affects missile spread (as the stat appears in the weapon's tooltip - unlike vanilla).

The Laser Duration upgrade acts in the same way (although it may have tooltips in vanilla. (I can't remember.)).

Chu, since you looked at the upgrades when you were doing this mod, do you have any idea what the Missile Spread upgrade actually does? Because I'm trying to figure out what it effects in terms of being an upgrade since I never see it actually affect anything stats wise.

Someone apparently was able to do that with a mod on Nexus called "Restore Traits". Maybe see if you can get in contact with the creator of that mod so they can point you in the right direction so you can incorporate the feature into this one?

@Cobramax76 - I would love to do that. I don't know how to do that though, and it could prove to be very complex with how PGI coded the way the Mechlab and Cold Storage work.

I might look into it soon, as it's been on my mind, but we'll see. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have any success. (Again, it sure would be nice, though - at least as an optional toggle.)

What about incorporating an addition to this mod to stop the game from removing all the upgrades to the Mechs when placed in cold storage? It was a damned stupid idea of the devs in the first place.

@warriorandtoaster - I've thought about it. I might change it some day or make an alternate version, but this is how I'm keeping it for now.

I use this in conjunction with my Re-balanced and Expanded Weapons mod and my Increased Enemy Difficulty mod - among others - and money is actually quite hard to hold on to due to the amount of damage I take and how much less money I get overall. For me - along with the time it takes to install the upgrades - these upgrades are balanced quite well.

We'll see what I do in the future.

TBH, if anything I feel like you should've boosted upgrade prices beyond vanilla with how potent some of these traits are now. It's not like money is hard to come by.

Thank you for the re-balance, I always hated how borderline useless they were, especially since cold storage removed them which invalidated them in many circumstances.
