You have to capture space marines that are spawned by my mod in order to use armors.
The melee weapons work with the melee animations mod, aye?
Did not do too much testing so let me know if something is broken.
Select the pawn(s) you want and change the option "race" from Human to Astartes.
The option is next to the pawn (on the left) labeled Human.

@ Ivar I am not sure if I can change what you are asking, will need to look if that is even possible to achieve with HAR, and I have to use HAR for multiple other reasons. For dealing with chaos I would suggest becoming ally with other space marine factions and calling them to help you out in case of an attack. Also dont play 500% diff... tune down difficulty until you are ready to deal with more threat. I am currently playing new 1.5 gameplay and colony is already pretty advanced Chaos has still not tried to mess with me.
i like your models the most of all the wh40k mods for this game but the fact that you can not creat your own space marine keeps me holding back from enjoying your mod.
also if you are attacked by 3 chaos marines and you only have pawns with normal guns, they completly overrun your base with their shoulder mounted rocket launchers.
maybe im doing smth wrong because I'm not good at this game with over 600 hours in
BTW... restricting armors to only my custom made race have more than few reasons, no1 of them being is all my marine pawns have hulk body and so I only need to make graphics for that one specific pawn and not to deal with fat and thick pawns body sticking out of armors and other issues. no2 being I wanted it to be a bit of a challenge to get pawn that can wear and use 40K armors and weapons.. so in normal playtrough you basicly need to piss of one of the factions by capturing one of their members, and it also kinda slows you down in attempt to have everyone use 40K stuff as you need to capture and convert them to your faction.

i honestly do not understand, why the author chose this way. the autoupdate just f'd my previous settlement.
Also a balance issue. Chaos Space Marines come raiding with a Shield that blocks all projectiles, but they are allowed to fire. you have to hope they steal something or kidnap someone and leave. impossible to fight. not difficult. impossible.
