that is a vanilla error
and 1.5?
the last forker gave up cause the mod barely worked in 1.3 lol
they said it was acorpse and needed replaced instead

the mod wasnt made for 1.5 expect some erros because 1.5 was a big overhaul

В папке мода в файле About после строки <li>1.4</li> добавляем строку <li>1.5</li>, думаю разберетесь, дальше добавьте папку 1.5 и перенесите из нее содержимое папки 1.4, и мод будет работать, делал из этого мода RuntimeGC [1.4] reuploaded

theres like 20 forks of it but none of them really fix the issues reported all those years ago and all of them ignore that vanilla has built in pawn deletion since early 1.3 that is safer

Rw has automatically deleted useless pawns since 1.3 periodically
It also has a stasis function to only tick world pawns 4 times a day
But a handful of popular mods completely break these 2 functions

World pawn removal is still the game saver. I don't think that 1.4 has any built in off map pawn removing system, not in modded game at least. Literally just removed 1300 pawns on 4 years old colony (raised TPS from 200-300 to 900).

Which ones? Is it just the savegame shrinker, or is there something like RuntimeGC that can work in real time and give more precise control over what's removed and when?

Look, forget I said anything. Whatever the problem was, I managed to make the game work by removing from the load order, deleting this mod's config and restarting the pc, but just in case I won't be using this anymore.

@rynox awesome! Down to 70 pawns, let's see if I broke it! I also found Never Generate Relations which I suspect will help a lot with making future pawns removable instead of mothballed.

1.4 still kills RimWorld for me since there are thousands of dead useless pawns that slow the game down to 5fps every 6 hours, and no GC to solve it anymore.. guess I might as well try it anyway before I give up playing.

@TurtleShroom ya I just really want to know if I have this mod, never use anything but clean filth and nothing else if it still breaks stuff.

I use this Mod to remove all the Filth in my Home Area, and to clear snow. That's really it, because the Storyteller one that cleared the queue when it busted was the other feature I used.

How to restore world pawn removal

-C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2945201476
-original DLL, grab the DLL file
-move it to assemblies in the 1.4 file
-Replace file in destination

In order to enable the pawn cleaning - do I need to move both dll and pdb files? I moved both, seems to work. But since I have no idea of the inner workings of the mod - the original pdb file is like 6 times smaller. Will it cause any side-effects?

Anyone know of a mod that lets you clean all filth on map like this one did? I don't even see any dev commands for it.

Pawn cleaning was the only reason to have this mod lol.

I think that this Mod breaks the Vanilla Factions Expanded Empire Mod. The Great Hierarchy of that Mod does not exist at all.

Dead pawns cleanup was the most useful feature that returned acceptable performance after a long game, other options have little to no impact on performance.

is it possible the new update breaks "voice acted radio chatter"(thing didnt get updated in months and worked yesterday)? many red errors concerning unit responses and this

some hediffs like pregancy may stop working entirely if mothballed
so modders need to effectively decide what hediffs they add are safe to mothball

Do you know why there are these hediff exceptions to mothballing? Is there any risk in just overriding all exceptions with a patcher?

modders have to mothball the hediff themselves and some dont know its doable cause the game doesnt advertise it well
hence my suggestion earlier was a function that could be told to remove things from world pawns that inhibited vanillas methods since removing hediffs or relations is safer on a save than the hammer gc used to use

Thanks for the clue Alu. Found a couple of benign modded hediffs like VRE_Photosynthetic made their way into the mothballer exceptions (Debug Logging > World Pawn Mothball Info) and this has been bloating my "Alive" world pawn count. I'm trying to figure out which hediffs to add to RocketMan's mothball patcher.

Do you know why the game might want to avoid mothballing pawns with certain hediffs like Asthma? I'm not too worried about accurate health simulation of non-leader pawns if it means I can get a bit of performance back.
