Since this drone uses the laser beam from the alien ore mining weapon, and I don't know how it's used, it could be that they have a mod that modifies that weapon in some way, which in this case modifies the original files of the hand weapon and blocks the drone in some way. / Where the drone uses this data.
BTW, developers made alien generator destructible in unstable build v1.6.4.0, it also make alien generator can block all type of projectiles, but they put old alien generator back as legacy item and solved this issue in unstable build v1.6.7.0, and hull could block hit scan type weapon some time, but this issue is not present in the current stable release.

After the last mod update I still used the drone and I didn't have any problems / Before that there was the light problem which is fixed.
Last I had about 3 months ago, still on a Turret block system for 2 Larg Turrets on a large submarine built around, where I also use this drone, and there the drone also worked normally / The submarine is uploaded, is not quite finished, still missing a few links, and text customization.
So it was displayed although you can't see it when you are actively testing in the editor.
Tested in the editor , now everything works again.

Ah you reminded me, I forgot to change the properties of the turret, and now the hide in game items don't glow
When changing it myself, I saw that it must be changed more than the 2 lights, because the new version also lacks something that it had before.

Causes the normal drone to no longer light up when it is no longer docked, nor does it even light up dimly when docked.
Not tested but the Lite version should also be affected if it only differs in not having an electro plate.

In the editor when testing it says at "Relic Control Panel" that WiFi is now on 1 instead of as stated in the Mod.
Since I am not familiar with it, I don't know why it does that, for those that are already installed in a submarine it probably uses the setting as here, since no WiFi info comes up.
And my first own will be just slightly larger than what I have adapted so far, have the same things as version 3, , maybe still medicine manufacturer, but would then have 3 towers, one each above and below, and one in front if I would take a pulse laser with infinity ammo then much higher energy consumption to have few shots until you have upgraded the submarine , and a super loader only for the Puls Laser, 2 electric plates , and 1 railgun with single loader only for captain , is on End 3 super loader , and the "Relic" drone , and all from less parts than the current submarine to improve the performance for higher biomes once again.

So I looked at the submarine how the drone is connected, almost like my test, only that the shuttle control is on a normal electrical box, and the drone bay does not need power, and the bay can simply be outside, and drone starts not too high thought already, musst not free space above have.
Actually only the shuttle control needs power if you want to use the sonar, otherwise everything works by itself.
But the sonar must only be switched on briefly, otherwise the drone will slowly run out of power.
I assume that the sonar of the drone is connected to its own super charger and they are intended for discharges and not for continuous power, so a problem that is due to the game mechanics and you can probably not change, you only have to turn on briefly because when you control the drone is about the periscope and there you see no sonar.

I'm rebuilding a small submarine from someone, I have 2 versions, one that is the same as his but with a second electric plate, but primarily because of controls on the shuttle console and devices on the navigation terminal where the shuttle controls are completely removed and a function of the navigation terminal came to a button, instead of using important things via the navigation terminal but not having sonar and controls to use the things effectively.
The extended version has manufacturer and disassembly machine, with this drone there will be another version that will be included in the mod. (As soon as I get around to looking at it as long as I understand how it works. )
