Is it possible to make the dispensers not count as a work facility for altars and/or thrones? I like to build my altar as a mess hall, but if I put a paste dispenser there the pawns will get the altar disrespected mood hit, which really doesn't make much sense as they are not really making anything there, they are just picking stuff up.

Any update for this invisible vat bug? didn't see any in description
Oskar Potocki  [author] Aug 17 @ 2:53pm
Issues should not be reported in the comments section. We have a bug report form for bug reports, please check the mod description. Ensure to attach logs as any reports without logs are automatically deleted.

The only way for us to help you is if you report it properly.

Issue persisted with the bugged error throwing vats for me even after ensuring a fresh install. Only happens when they're placed by themselves, if placed on an existing pipe network they work as intended.
sergal saturn (they/them) Aug 17 @ 10:42am
Issue was resolved after using debug to deconstruct and rebuild the pipe network and any vats that were bugged. Thanks!
Narroenee Aug 17 @ 8:27am
From what I can see by checking errors, it seems that the Nutrient paste pipe network isn't connecting properly, specifically with tanks for some reason.
when i contect the nutrient paste vat to anything it stops working
i still have issues with it, some pipes simply dont appear or dissapear
Cyboran Aug 16 @ 11:10pm
Much appreciated, Oskar! Love all the work you and your team do!
Oskar Potocki  [author] Aug 16 @ 10:02pm
Issue should be fixed now. A small error slipped by, but it should be working just fine now.
Wellow Aug 16 @ 8:14pm
The two steps may help before the bug is fixed.
Step 1: Deconstruct everything in your nutrition paste network, including all pipelines and relevant buildings.
Step 2: Rebuild your network. However, this time, DO NOT build your pipeline under the walls.
Geisthander Aug 16 @ 7:32pm
I've made a bug report, hopefully it gets resolved soon.I really appreciate all the work you guys do, you're the best!
Cyboran Aug 16 @ 7:13pm
Oh thank you, Geisthander! I appreciate it, it has been sent that-a-way
Geisthander Aug 16 @ 7:05pm
Vanilla expanded bug reports are only followed up on if you report it using the google doc.

Here's a log file with issues with the nutrient paste (this also includes reimagined progression but is otherwise a clean slate)

My game keep throwing red errors, and after destroying some pipes connected to the nutrient paste vat and hidden under the wall the red error stops, maybe this will help
Peap Aug 16 @ 6:47pm
i deleted all the buildings and uninstalled the mod, my save file luckily survived and also my colonists, they almost starved to death before i could get more food
FatJesusSavesYou Aug 16 @ 6:07pm
Ya the paste is half working while its conflicting with the chemfuel mod from VEF. Have a whole system on my gravship atm, with 45000 stored yesterday, was working but the whole pipe system is now reading 0 and not refilling grav tanks or shuttles as of today.
Nathan Nate Fox Aug 16 @ 4:49pm
Was there some update? the mod throws errors and does not work.
Lord Gaelish Aug 16 @ 4:47pm
Can confirm the mod is currently broken and leaving the game unplayable
Axareans Aug 16 @ 4:39pm
My run is ruined after this update.
ALPF Aug 16 @ 3:57pm
This module is no longer functioning properly. The saved files have been corrupted. Be careful.
Retro Aug 16 @ 3:18pm
it worked fine in my colony for ~60 days. after loading the save, every pipe connection was broken and i couldn't deconstruct the nutrient paste tab. it gave me no resources back and left some bugged, unwalkable tiles. use with caution...

Hey guys, I got tired of how finicky colonist/prisoner interaction with the paste tap is, and made a patch that turns the feeder into a freezer, making it easier for colonists to use it instead of preferring other food sources. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3549240243
Cannis Aug 15 @ 2:22am
Need the mod and I fear others having some trouble
Enregór Aug 14 @ 6:22pm
The mod generated errors when a dripper is uninstalled (“minified”)
Rendan Aug 8 @ 12:40am
@Anker So just tested this out. I turned meals off for prisoners and then installed a drip feeder next to them. I'm fairly certain that they get auto fed when they get close to starving but I might have to do more testing to be 100% sure.
Anker Aug 7 @ 12:44pm
And yes, I did check that there was meals in the pipes connected to it. And it was powered. And hooked to the pipes.
Anker Aug 5 @ 4:27am
Hmm, when does the paste dripper work? On certain intervals? I was watching it for a while, but I don't think I ever saw it go off when I was testing it. Pawns woke up and left their bed without their hunger meters being refilled.
juako Aug 4 @ 10:03pm
@Nequ the feeder is also good for animals as they cant use the tap
PA1NWOLF Aug 3 @ 2:46pm
Mod was working, then randomly stopped. Seems that even with the vat full the dripper, feeder, and grinders all list 0 meals in network. plz fix
only using ve mods btw:steamsad:
Nequ Aug 2 @ 12:53pm
@coldcell: Nutrient paste tap is a 1x3 version of the vanilla paste building. The Feeder is a 1x1 tile that holds meals for pick up. The paste tap lets the villagers grab a meal from the tap, but the feeder holds meals in a stack for people to select from.

If you have a lot of pawns it might be worth having the feeder have a stack of meals so people don't have to wait for the tap to pour a meal. I find that the feeder lets meals rot unless you also put it in a fridge or freezer area.
coldcell Jul 31 @ 1:01pm
What's the difference between a Nutrient Paste Tap and Nutrient Paste Feeder, other than their size?

Let's say I want to feed my prisoners nutrient paste. I'm not sure which of the two I should be using.
Katudor Jul 30 @ 5:22pm
Small bug: nutrient paste pipes/chemfuel pipes/ all other Expanded pipes do not get constructed in smoothed vacstone corners, and power lines still do. Tested a few times, including last night. It is a very small thing, but I just wanted to point it out, especially because these mods are part of my standard playstyle now
Phanlix Jul 29 @ 7:09pm
@Ronin YES! The Refrigerated ground dispenser allows you to build a pipe to your nutrient paste storage then constantly generates a stack of nutrient paste on the ground animals can eat, and with the refrigeration never spoils. So clutch for feeding animals.
Ronin Jul 28 @ 6:52pm
Would this allow me to set up a system where the same Dispenser that gets filled for feeding colonists will reroute Nutrient Paste to a feeding tray and the pipe will automatically 'spew' meals out onto the tray, perfect for automatically feeding livestock? If so that's an amazing game changer!!
WyldHardt Jul 26 @ 10:28am
Konop4t - the same can be said about the average player for Rimworld. We each have too many mods to go through and appease each developers differing modes of reporting bugs. In this developers very language: either fix the mode or we don't use it.

Likewise, any player that comes across this issue and comes here now can see my comment and self fix.
M.H.E. Jul 26 @ 3:39am
Seems that the Biosculpter takes double the required amount of nutrients when being fed by a pipe. It takes one round of nutrients when the process begins and another when it is finished. I am using Faster Biosculpter Pod in case that is an issue.
Grimfrad Jul 25 @ 8:28pm
Azzkal, same problem, had to set only nutrient paste in the Assign tab

WyldHardt, words of the developers:

Like to add that the below only happened after the recent hotfix.
WyldHardt Jul 25 @ 4:29pm
Nutrient paste valve is breaking grav ships. When I removed the valve, the grav ship functioned normally. I have both nutrient paste pipes and Chemfuel pipes. Ive tested and narrowed down specifically to the valve.

Exception from long event: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I like this mod, but you should give some thought to the numbers of how all this is balanced. Paste vats hold half as much meals as shelves do for the same 2x2 space (12 stacks of 75 = 900, divided by 6 per meal, for 150 meals) and the power requirement for everything is much higher than the vanilla paste dispenser. Much of the appeal of the vanilla paste machine is the efficient use of space and food and power, and the parts in this mod are all numerically worse than the vanilla item, for no really good reason. It all looks great and works great, but you should consider rebalancing the efficiency stuff.
Prozium Jul 23 @ 10:46am
I can't find these items to build, just the old dispenser.
Azzkal Jul 23 @ 9:42am
Why pawns can't take paste from psate tap themselves? Is this intended or is it a bug?
Rewan Jul 23 @ 12:59am
absolutely love this mod.the vat alone makes me super happy.

King Regicide Jul 22 @ 9:18am
what percentage does the dripper feed the colonist? I have it at the top aimed at the head of the bed
Xarian Jul 21 @ 2:23pm
Would you consider increasing the storage capacity from 75 to 225? I.e., in older versions of Rimworld, 75 was equal to 3 tiles; now, 3 tiles worth of storage shelves would be 225
Xaiff Jul 21 @ 8:10am
Nevermind. The Dripper doesn't work on Sleeping Spot.
