Y'all buffed this map WAY too much, Blu has such a big advantage throughout the entire map. The map was already bad but you just made it worse. Also it still looks like hot garbage, random props placed around like someone was desperately trying to salvage something (You probably were)

please buff blue's ability to push last if you're going to make changes. That new balcony behind the bridge on red side is some serious BS, and you have to walk along two incredibly long sightlines from blue to get there, and now that red can easily rotate into your ONE safe area, now you're forced to play the point either extremely long, or extremely aggressive. I can't believe you made the one part about this map I disliked so much worse that I never want to touch it again.

Crashed the game for me and my friend, and seemingly even the casual server that ran it. Does TF2 provide crash logs to help with this?

You´re right, some shots are a bit outdated, forgot to update that detail. Superficial enough to ignore. Just glad it runs fine and the update is finally out :) Should enough minor things accumulate, I might do another pass. But for the love of all that is good, I hope I don´t need to :D

I´ve put in a lot of time into the new version and hope to calm some of the valid criticism, no use in fueling the fire by reacting too harshly. The new version has been submitted last month and it´s all in Valve´s hands for when and if it sees the light of day.

Hey man, I just wanna say I think it's really cool how you respond to the negative feedback here. So many other creators like ICS, the creators of Venice, or a lot of the newer mappers on TF2Maps get so pissy whenever someone's voices their dislike for one of their creations - so the fact you can admit this map had some mistakes, respond politely to some pretty overly-harsh criticism here, and even go back and fix it even though it's a decade-old says a lot about your character.

Also I've seen the new version of this map and it looks such a big improvement, hoping to see an official release pushed out to Valve soon :)

@eerieone: yeah, nah. I'm not sure what your thought process was, but every other point is just one big sniper sightline. You go from having corridors to fight through, to playing in an open field. Regardless on whether or not this map is a *"slightly outdated classic"*, it doesn't make up for it being an unpleasant experience every time. Capture points go from undefendable to unbreakable. Please reconsider map design as a hobby, or atleast polish your map with coarse, gritty sandpaper before pushing them onto the rest of us.

@chocymilkaddict: Cutting down the exploitative sightlines, which don´t put the sniper at much risk, shorten the lanes. Reducing fog etc.
There will still be plenty room for sniping, but it shouldn´t dominate the map

No spy flank routes. Some classes dont have vertical mobility.

Basically pl_dustbowl. Massively favors Demo, Soldier, and Sniper spam. Looks nice, plays terribly unless you play one of said classes.

@ZincWolfWarrior This map is so old that the thing at the end of it used to be gold and not Australium. It actually PREDATES Australium being introduced into TF2's lore. I think it was one of the first, if not the actual first, payload maps to use the Alpine environment.

Congratulations, man! This was my favorite map back in 2009, on the old Couch Athletics server. It's been a long time coming, but it's well deserved! I can't wait until I can get back and play it again!

You forgot to set the team parameter of blu_respawn_room_01. This lets red enter the first blu spawn room.

Your probably right, but I would not be surprised if you get more people complaining about this especially because it was a server wide complaint. if this map starts to grow on me I'll try to remember to give you some complements and maybe buy a map stamp. My comment was VERY reactionary and honestly for a map made more then a decade ago my probably giving it to much flak.

Hi just got this game in casual and this map seems to have a lot of fans. From my first game, I am not one of them. first the things I liked: that big slope hill section behind first red spawn is really cool. I also liked the money pit that gives the map it's name. Now the things I don't like: obviously first blu spawn is broken. you seem to be aware of this so I pray this gets fixed tomorrow or hell even today would be great. However my other problem cant be easily fixed: this map is sniper hell IT'S WUTVILLE levels of bad. This one massive flaw makes me really want this map to not be added to causal year-round, or if it does I will purposely uncue for it. I'm truly sorry that if I come off as rude or mean, it's not your fault valve chose this map but my pretty upset this map was chosen over extinction. Best of luck, Pogo

Probably just a missclick, "blu_respawn_room_01" went from "Blue" team to "Any", which makes it so the func_respawnroomvisualizer allows any team in.

I've been playing this map for years and it's insanity that it never got an official release. One of the most polished PL experiences out there.
