It does not. There is someone who is working on a fork of my Acolyte to work with NT and Enhanced husks. Not sure if they were able to start on it yet.

Does anybody know if this affects the healing of the medieval medicine talent? Trying to jerryrig some mods together to get medieval medicine to work with nt and if it does I think it could work in combination with some other patches?

Apparently the patch already covered the unstable husk stinger, probably from the improved husks mod, but I just changed it to scale properly for the stats used in the Enhanced Husks mod.

@Cthulhu77 its been a while just saying due to how enhanced husks was developed this mod acts as a patch for it too the only thing that it doesn't seem to effect is (as Flipper below said) the unstable version of the husk stinger

Considering improved husks is for all intensive purposes deprecated you might want to consider changing the name of the mod so people find it easier and just add the unstable stinger to the list for the natural order talent!

It works fine with Enhanced husks for those who are wondering however I do wish the natural order talent worked for the Unstable Husk Stinger.

The error was definitely related to Improved Husks - Sya's Iteration. I swapped that mod out for Enhanced Husks, and the error did not reappear.

Reporting a console error: "Error in StatusEffect config - item prefab with the identifier "huskmutantembryo" not found. It popped up after I selected the "Free Samples" talent on my Acolyte. Granted, I'm using Improved Husks - Sya's Iteration, so that's probably why. However, I thought I'd let you know just in case.

@Malo That is correct. In my tests, around 350-400% husk infection resistance and will the talents that slow down huskinfection you will actually start healing it instead. It should be a relatively easy talent to adjust to fix that issue. I'll do that after work tonight.

It appears that this effect only manifests with enough husk infection resistance, which the Acolyte gives by applying calyx extract. Makes getting husked difficult.

Doing some testing, it appears that the slowed infection rate effects are too much. With the talents maxed out, husk infection appears to hard cap at 50% and reduce quite quickly.

@THEDOCMAN Hard to say. I have not been keeping up with the updates for a while, or playing Barotrauma. Busy with life and playing other games. I have mostly just been trying to keep my mods functional. If I get around to playing this game, maybe...big maybe though.

@Cthulhu77 Actually, I shoulda said this earlier, but I did get it working. I wasn't husked before i got the symbiotic infection, but for some reason that wouldn't let me get the original. So I killed my bot, respawned him, husked him, and then gave the symbiotic infection, now he's good to go. Sorry about that!

@Yog Any details you can provide would help me find what might be causing your issue. What talents you have, any husk related items, etc. I just hopped on the game and I can go outside without exploding with symbiotic husk and the talents are compatible with that affliction as well as normal husk.

It sadly doesn't work, I explode every time i get out of my submarine with the symbiotic husk. I hope it can be fixed, it ruined my acolyte since i can't get infected by the normal husk now

@[TLP] lucazz'tuoi I am not sure. This is the first time I am hearing of enhanced husks. As long as the afflictions from improved husks are the same, it should work completely fine.

@The Raid Man Unleash the Beast, Chain the Beast, Jekyll and Hyde and the entirety of the Symbiosis talent tree will be changed with this mod, mainly to allow the symbiotic calyx injections to work with the Acolyte. As for the healing speed of bleeding, it still works with, or without this mod. I just tested it just to be sure. It might just be hard to notice during combat, or if you aren't just comparing healing rates in your own tests.

Does this make traits like Unleash the Beast and Blood Feast work now? I couldn't really tell since it relies on "Husk Infection Rate", so I have no clue if it works with the Husk Symbiosis effect at all. I can't tell if my bleeding is healing any quicker...

it tells something related in console, but I never tested the husk gene - it just reds IH out when I enable my submarine with acolyte job spawn as an active mod.

@LeadOnTaste If the error is husk genes not working, it is just how Improved Husks works. It removes the functionality of husk genes in favor of it's own system, symbiotic calyx injections. If the issue is something else I can take a look, sure.

I should also mention that it doesn't actually change the drop chance at all, but adds an additional drop chance to the RNG on top of the original one. If you are really lucky you can get 2 drops instead of the usual 1.

@Agent Tarian 20% for unstable husk eggs and 25% for mutant embryos. I don't use Improved Husks myself so I threw in a number I thought would be okay based on what people have told me about Improved Husks. As for the drop rate that seems to be different based on the monster from what I can see in the files. Percentages aren't actually used in the files so I am just making a guess here, but If I am reading it right about 14% for unstable eggs and 25%-33% for mutant embryos

@Comrade You can also try reinstalling the mod from within the mod menu. I know sometimes there can be strange issues between Barotrauma and Steam when you update mods.

Might I ask what the exact % increase in loot drops is for the updated Free Samples? Is it still 10%? And do you know what the base drop rate is for the eggs and embryos?

@Comrade It doesn't have any effect on the natural spawns. This mod doesn't not change improved husks at all, just adds additional stuff for the Acolyte to better work with Improved Husks.

This mod reduces the natural chances of an embryo dropping by a huge amount ive noticed, only one embryo in 10 cocoons kills, any reason why?

@❍ Lunar Cultist Just to be sure, you are using the Zealot Robes and not the Cultist Robes, correct? I am mainly asking since when they were added I initially thought they were the same thing, but was informed that was not the case. I did not make the Improved Husks mod. I did make the Acolyte Job mod and this patch/mod was made to make it work a bit better with it. I don't know how the monster spawns really work with Improved Husks, or how rare the item drop chance may be.

I just saw your posts right now and yeah I am using both of these mods like you said. So I have been wearing the zealot robes and I have still been dying from the Infection. I'm unsure as to why but the Infection will go to max with the robes on and I will do the whole exploding deal. I do want to run husk the entire time but I can't find any of your new cool husk creatures save for like 2 In a 20+hr campaign so far. I know that they're Installed In the sever cause I've seen 2 or so of them but I still just can't figure this out. maybe I'm a tad too dumb for this hahaha. I just tried to turn one of the settlers Into a husk and he transformed Into the more feral one and they aren't dropping anything for me. any more help would be greatly appreciated and sorry for all the bugging

@OniTJI It is still needed. Without this, the talents that require you to be infected with husk won't work with the status you gain from Improved Husk's symbiotic husk injections. I also made the talents that scale with your husk infection scale a bit differently with the symbiotic husk injection since you can only have 0,50%, or 100%. The last time I tested it, husk genes don't do anything in the improved husks mod, so I also changed the "Free Samples" talent to work better with improved husks.

I've read the 2 most recent patchnotes from Improved Husks and I'm curious if this mod is still needed? I'm not too experienced with Improved Husks or Acolyte but from my understanding from the Improved Husks guide, using the Symbiotic Inject twice will prevent the husk causing your death as you've gained an affinity for it. Which I guess removes the point of getting Husk Genes or the Robes as an Acolyte but notsomuch any other job..?

Continued, Those robes will reduce your husk infection if you are above 90% husk infection. The way I have gone about doing that in my own games is when there are members of the church of husk at an outpost I drug the person who has them with chloral hydrate and take the robes and leave as fast as possible. You can inject yourself with calyx extract if you want to give yourself husk infection or get attacked by husked creatures. You will not be able to tell if you have husk infection from your wounds until you reach a certain threshold.
