Cockpits Re-Re-Animated... Yet Once More is a continuation of this mod and should be used. It is set up to replace this mod so that even if you load this mod, it will load that mod.

Es muy bueno el mod, y visto que tiene actualizaciones periódicas me gustaría proponer unas mejoras:
- Que hubiese una animación de apertura de cabina al bajarse de la misma.
- que la apertura de la cabina sólo se produzca cuando presiones la tecla de subir a la cabina y no se abra al pasar la vista por ella. (resulta muy molesto pasar la vista por la cabina a metros de distancia y ver como se abre estando tan lejos)

A way to close the canopy manually would be nice. Mainly for ships that have more than one cockpit. A lot of people like having a tandem set up as a pilot and gunner cockpit and it would be nice to shut the gunner's when there isn't one and the AI is controlling the turret.

If it can be done, maybe add in a drop down in the cockpit menu to switch between an automatic mode (same as it currently is) and a manual mode that lets us assign the open and close commands to buttons, sensors, and hotbars.

One of the older versions of my utility VTOL had one of the old animated cockpits and I had it on sensors which was nice because it kept other friendlies out of my VTOL but when I walk up it would open for me and close once I was in.

@MachoNatchoMan Make your mods are loading in the right order, you can change it by clicking the sort by name button in the mods menu of your world. If you sort it by alphabetical order A-Z, top down, It will go in the right order. I have it in this order, and it works, if I sort them Z-A it breaks. You can also manually edit the order with the arrows in the middle, see what works for you.

evyy.. any chance you'd consider making a industrial overhaul mod patch/version? i use it and it fiddles with so so much including cockpits to replace the recipe.. however this ends up in it being technically a different block from the mod and the original gets hidden.. :q so i would really appreciate a patch for industrial overhaul, ideally on all your animation mods that would be cool ^^ :) thanks for reading if ya did bye

Fantastic mod! Would you be willing to introduce an alternative version of this mod where the animated cockpits are separate blocks from the vanilla ones?

Is there a way to lock the opening on specific cockpits? Not meaning in general but rather like: On this one specific ship i don't want the cockpit to animate, since it clips with something else.

the cockpiit from the second image is broken and it flips badly and can be very noticeble in mp servers too.

I'm not going to look through 14 pages of comments so these might have been asked for already.

But two more animations for the fighter cockpit would be nice, a rear hinged and front hinged versions of the fighter cock pit. I just like having the variate for different vehicles like using the hinged ones for different planes and the sliding one for helicopters as the canopy opening into the the blades looks dumb lol.

The other thing looks like you are waiting on animation engine to be updated to make open/close a manual toggle.

Oh I see. To just close the canopy there will eventually be a toggle in the terminal, but that requires an update from the animation engine before I can add it.

I have ai enabled but there are no npc engineers inside these ships, so they're just flying with open cockpits and nobody inside

and is there a way to disable it for bots? They look kinda weird flying with open cockpits, maybe an option to open them with sensors or something?

This NEEDS animations to go with your fighter cockpit animations, I almost don't want to use it until it has an animated version.
I can't get enough of these animated blocks dude, these cockpits are amazing!

I know this might be asking a lot, and that you would have to obtain permission from the other mod author, but any chance you could do an animation for the gunner cockpit? The one that fits behind the fighter cockpit.

Still getting the issue where an open cockpit is considered closed and gets offset again, making the canopy way forward of the cockpit.

You can add or remove this one at any time, it uses the same blocks as vanilla.

can you add a setting in the control tab to turn on or off the animation. some builds where you have 2 cockpits with only one person make it look weird with one still open when your flying.

I have published a fix for the doors opening incorrectly in a few cases, if anyone finds any more please let me know.
The decompression effect has also been disabled.

Is there a way to remove the depressurization effect or another mod that makes a better effect?
I feel like the standard effect is somewhat lacking and even annoying

Having the same issue as miner, it appears to have to do with actually welding the fighter cockpit, as upon spawning a ship in rather than welding a new cockpit, it had no issues.

im having an issue with the fighter cockpit canopy in singleplayer (survival): the canopy slides back further (about 0.5m-1m) than it should and ends up clipping into the main structure of the cockpit itself. this is happening on all cockpits that have been printed using ship printers (havent tested with hand placed) and every time i've tried hacking/fixing my own fighter cockpit the issue gets a bit worse. doing it 5 or so times caused the canopy to slide so far back it was behind the entire fighter

I can't seem to replicate any issues with the decompression or canopies, in single player or on a vanilla dedicated server. It must be a conflict with something else, but I would have no idea what. If anyone gets any further info, please let me know.

Hmm, I'm not sure. I went in and moved everything to the bottom (in the same order I had them), and then also moved the engine above this mod. The game loaded fine, and there were no issues with the decompression effect. I did move this mod above other mods when I "fixed" it, but now that I've moved it all back to the bottom (where it was when I originally had the issue) I'm not seeing a problem.

I haven't removed anything since I originally moved it, so unfortunately I don't have anything else I can pass along to help you with it :/

There doesn't seem to be any issues with the cockpits in a local game, is everyone experiencing the issue on a server? Is it an SE server or Torch? I need logs if possible, I can't reproduce the issue.

@sempiternity87 load order shouldn't matter with the engine as it loads at the beginning of the session after everything is loaded. When you moved the mod were there any other mods you moved this above? It is possible something else is writing to the cockpit sbc files, which would break this mod.

I was having the constant decompression effect as well. I moved this mod above the Animation Engine mod and it works just fine now. I also put other mods that use the Animation Engine above Animation Engine, assuming the order will matter for all of them.

Hey man, great mod been using it for a while now :). Im getting the decompression problem as well and I see im not the only one. The cockpit bugs out with the white smoke constantly, I dont know how to check the log for any issues, wouldnt even know what to look for tbh. But for what its worth, it started happening few days ago on NEW grids, any saved blueprints dont behave like it.

I love the animations, unfortunately I am having the same problem as Star. When a cockpit opens the oxygen cloud that vents out from the cockpit persists. Hopefully there will be a fix soon, keep up the amazing work.

Ok every time I try and use this stupid mod the basic cockpit glitches out opens downward and leaves a constant cloud of white smoke around it... had to stop using it last time because it was crashing my server everytime someone got in. Not going to waste anymore time with these automated things breaking my game.

I would have to get you a snip of it but I can provoke it on my dedicated server if you want that. Not sure it happens in SP as I rarely play SP :) I have to get the kids to bed than I will fix it for you.
