That aside, when using melee to hunt does the pawn use it's melee skill, or ranged skill (default hunting dependency) - and if so, how is this represented in game? For example:
Using Fluffy's Work Tab hovering over a pawn's duty will show that pawn's skill level (I dunno if this is also a vanilla mechanic, haven't played vanilla in forever)
So, will the skill level shown always be for ranged, or will it switch dependant on weapon equipped - or maybe both? Additionally, with PeteTimesSix's Simple Sidearms installed, will there be some issues with this mod, given that both ranged and melee can be equipped at the same time?
To partially answer my own question: Hovering over still only mentions Shooting and Animals as the relevant skills for hunting. Not sure if melee is calculated at all, or simply considered a shadow skill in this case.
