God damned, I finally found this mod that improves the impact effect of shell on vehicles, which have been terrible since Armed Assault.

I really don't know why they ditched the impact effect in OFP.

BTW, if only somebody could turn this script into a MOD so we can use it in any missions.

No, I'm asking if this mod will ever be made to work without needing to put scripts for it into misssions. Will that be done or attempted at some point?

Hope a mod version comes out that auto-starts for any SP/MP mission/campaign/etc (much like Freestyles Crash Landing for players and AI). This would be so awesome to have. :jake::steamthumbsup:

@_mikey_ it only has custom sfx for hits whilst a player is inside a vehicle. The reason for this is that it would create too much network traffic to play sounds on all nearby clients for every hit on all nearby vehicles.

@Rickoshay I told you I already watched your mission ) I wrote below, everything was ok, but I would expect your mod to have a special hit sound when the player is inside vehicle SO to make it different from the sound of armor hits when the player is outside.

@_mickey - the reason it doesn't show as a mod is that it's not a mod - it's a demo mission that includes the necessary script and sound files to add to your mission. I will make this into a mod when I've finished adding a few more features. In the mean time just look above in that directory and unpack the mission and copy the folders over to your mission. I've supplied example files in the demo to simplify the process.It's literally just a case of copying over a folder and a couple of files. You can also customise the sound files (or add additional) if you want to and have some scripting and sound editing skills.

I have two questions for you

1. Is it possible for you to make this mod without the routine of having to create/add some scripts to the missions folder?
So that it works by default, always, for any vehicle in any mission.

2. I subscribed to your mod, but it does not exist in my list of mods in the launcher. Why is this happening?

@LievenX - one of the advantages of a script is that you can add your own sfx if you have some scripting knowledge.

maybe make the suppression based off of damage of the round so you dont get blurred out by a guy with a 9mm smg but if a tank shell slams you to orange hull it blurs you badly

would be cool to see this apply a suppression effect when hit like bluring of your screen
