I didn't think about that before but I definitely see the same design features. I love the rebel ships in the original episodes.

heavy armour does take AGES to cut through as a rule... I am going to time it and see, then forward it here, if i remember.

Quite a while, actually. It is bigger than it looks and it's shell is almost completely heavy armor.
