that would be pretty nice, thanks :) even without it I appreciate this mod making it go from "wow this is pretty bad" to "this is actually useful" since it can do some damage at range for a melee pawn, or even one with a shotgun

thanks :) considering all the crazy stuff in a (heavily) modded run like magic, more psycasts, etc etc, the spines ability is literally a joke for 20 blood, this is a nice step to improve it

So weird how piercing spine is such a dumb power in vanilla but longjump is like the best gene power in the game. Thanks for closing the gap a little, lol

See, now it's actually worth something.

Do you think it's possible to make the spike 1/4th the damage, 1/4th, the cost, and to toggle it to fire automatically at enemies in its range?

This is also a def overwrite for the entire Piercing Spine ability. Consider using a patch operation to only change the range value. https://rimworldwiki.com/wiki/Modding_Tutorials/PatchOperations#PatchOperationReplace
