valve did in fact restore this but soon went back on it
most likely because several shoe and pant cosmetics are already only brown
so if they really cared to commit to this then they'd have to sift through the lot n' touch em up

i'm all for blu pants but i wouldn't bet on it

I think Valve should've used this patch instead of doing it themselves since I can tell you manage to fix a lot of the issues with the cosmetics looking weird on blue scout.

Also just for clarification, I had nothing to do with the pants fix from the other day. Valve recreated the fix from their own scout .PSD. My version was made using the texture found in-game. This was before the depository leak occurred. Because of this, my version is actually double compressed.

eric smiths a great guy, but he's a programmer and not a texture artist. It was probably too much work than it was worth.

Doesn't help that this fix of mine is utilizing textures already in the game. Because of this, they are likely double compressed as I don't have access to workshopper's files.

Right after Valve changed the pants for one day, they somehow decided it was better to just revert the pants instead of adding this fix.
