got 1 more info to give : bug occurs precisely right after breastfeeding from mother to baby. Baby instantly disappears, and UI disappears too.

Crud. Really unfortunate - I can't really say if it's a mod issue or a rare game issue (I'm assuming you tried disabling the coloured mood bar already?
With the impending launch of the new DLC and v1.5, focus will be on a new collection once the modding scene has settled somewhat. I'm also busy with my Project Zomboid collection so I can't do any testing right now.

I can tell you for sure it's after a child's birth. I reloaded the save before birth and happened again, tried multiple times and the child just keeps disappearing after a moment and logs start to appear + UI is disappearing.
I did load a very early save before the event I was mentioning, but apparently doesn't solve that child birth issue

Yup happens every time I reset the game, reloaded a save, and most of the time it points to a different pawn each time. Even to pawns not existing on my map :/ Idk maybe I should try to load an older save before an event :/

I don't know what exactly is going on but the errors point to "Baby" - Do you have a pawn or animal called Baby? If so, are they still on the map or did you switch maps when this happened? Just looking at old threads it may be that the game is trying to reference a pawn that's no longer available. Does this happen after saving and reloading still?

Hey Deathstar, I'm having a UI bug after hours of playing with ur awesome collection, UI is disappearing for unknown reasons with exception errors in logs... Any idea why? Read multiple forum threads about it suggesting it might be color coded mood bars, but am not expert in this, can u help me?

Awesome, let me know how it's going for you. I am currently prioritising my Project Zomboid collection, but rest assured, Rimworld will get the attention it deserves once the DLC drops and the modders have had a chance to update their stuff. :^)

using steam mod folder or ingame mod manager is a bad idea, steam updates WILL ruin your saves. use rimpy instead.

Thanks, I replaced it. I am currently working on a different collection, since we're all waiting for more mods to be updated to 1.5 (including the fixed research tree mod).

I don't know if it's intentional or not, but you are using "Research Tree (outdated)" as the name suggests. It's outdated, someone posted an updated version in the comments of the same mod.

I just tested the collection with a fresh reinstall of Rimworld (and all mods redownloaded) and it's working fine. I have zero info on how this works with Linux but I think the problem is on your end. Starting the game with a lot of mods is very taxing, it takes me between 2 and 5 minutes where it's seemingly stuck on initializing, but eventually it loads. This has always been the case, maybe it's too much for your system or it's running out of memory during this.

Giddy Up 2 is included and works as it should. If you check the mod page for the saddles addon you'll see that it's an issue of Rimpy's database trying to suggest that you need another mod. It's not an issue with the mod.

I did just remove Startup Impact though as that mod seems to have gone AWOL on Steam.

Hey im getting around to playing the modpack now, i just got everything into it and noticed when using RimPy auto sort it flags up giddy up core is not present for the saddles extension, i assume this works with Giddy Up 2 but removed it anyway as its purely cosmetic but thought you may want to know.

Heyo, keeping everything default should work fine but I do recommend tweaking stuff to your liking. There are -many- new factions added for example and when creating a new world, you can choose which ones should not spawn. Some factions can be quite oppressive such as the Black Hive or the mechs that constantly land ships nearby so this is where you choose if you want all of em or just a selection.

As for RimPy, I give the game a quick sort using it anytime I change my mods. The ingame sorting function should work fine for the most part but I like to make extra sure, plus it only takes a few seconds AND stops you from having to reload the game everytime you make changes to mods while it's running.

Hey Deathstar, i have not played the collection yet but i have it favorited for when i play solo once more (currently playing multiplayer) but i have to say seeing the constant additions is cool man, out of curiosity is there any settings you recommend or do you just keep everything default? I also saw you said the base game sort works, do you recommend using RimPy or avoiding it? Many thanks man have a good one!

It -should- be fine though I have never tested it. I've previously removed Prepare Carefully because it's a highly unstable mod despite being such a staple for many years, so I don't know if Character Editor does similar edits to your save game or not. I've included Random+ as a light alternative that lets you set minimum skills and passions and force as many rerolls as the game needs to achieve these stats. Feel free to try the Editor though!

It's a little weird.
The mod page does say it requires Giddy-Up 2 but in my impy it's still looking for Giddy-Up core
The classic giddy up makes the error vanishes.

It seems Giddy Up saddles doesn't work right now.
It throw an error on Rimpy (saying Giddy core is missing) and crash the game on startup.

Added some more Outpost modules for power generation outposts, fixed for colonist needs whilst working at outposts and improved delivery logics.

Use Rimpy to sort your load order, a guide for this is in Discussions.

Notable additions include the Nephilim xenotype, which is the counterpart to the sanguophage - Angels who need to regularly snort a holy flower to stay alive. Also, beds will now need bedding! Building a bed only builds the frame, which makes sense since it only uses the base material. Craft bedding at a tailor workbench - this can be made from most leathers and fabrics, which means it will have different insulation and softness values!

Also, for your polygamy idealists, there are some triple to qintuple beds included which also need bedding.

New Vanilla Expanded modules are in, alongside the new storage framework and its neolithic component. Pathfinding is out for now, mods of this nature seem to cause some performance issues at the moment.

Added the genius vehicle framework alongside Vanilla Vehicles Expanded and the new faction pack Deserters - What a time to be a Rimworld player!

My load time as of now is 232s with the highest impact being not directly tied to any mod, but rather to the fact that the game loads on a single CPU thread. I think the optimization mods for that are all outdated but I'll keep my eye on things.

Just be patient when the game boots up. =)

Because it's been a while since the last update of this collection, I'll do some playtesting to see if everything is still compatible (it should be).

Sooo, vehicles? I'm aware some time has passed since the last update and the vehicle framework is all the latest hype - I'll push out an update for this list soon with the newest hot mods.
