hey can you fix the issue where lithuania joins the allies when germany invades poland?
i play as the USSR and when lithuania joins the allies they quickly die and makes me cannot annex all baltic states

(Btw, from your comment, you seem to be aware that if you intend to larp the invasion as Germany, you're supposed to capture Lublin but not Bialystok. And... yep, it can be difficult to do it exactly as irl and some of it is down to sheer luck, but sadly there's not much I can do about that.)

@ringtail_raccoon I'm so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tired and it took me a while to get what you mean, sorry about that.

So, if as Germany you capture either Bialystok or Lublin (or both) AND the Soviets have not captured any of your claims, you're supposed (on historical, it's guaranteed) to get an event named "The Soviet Union Wishes to Renegotiate the Territorial Clauses of the Pact". This event gives you the option to either keep Bialystok/Lublin in exchange for the Soviets getting Lithuania, or to hand over their claims.

Now, the thing is that if you ended up capturing both Bialystok and Lublin, then you can either keep them both or transfer them both, but no middle ground where you hand over one and keep the other, or something.

So yeah, but I mean, what you describe is not really a bad thing, is it? In addition to Lublin, you also got Bialystok for free!

@ArchiTheLobster I've been able to take Lublin, but because of the rest of poland being taken for the soviets, when I leave bialystok it goes to me due to the surrender threshold, even though the soviets claim Bial. Now, when the time comes for me to renegotiate the treaty, i dont have the option to send bialystok. they just get lithuanian claims. ideally it would help if you took either lublin or bialystok the event for negotiations should include bialystok being given to the soviets?

@ringtail_raccoon You simply need to select the option for the soviets to claim Białystok in the initial M-R Pact event chain, and then if you invade Poland and eveything goes right it'll be transfered to them. Did that answer you question or have I misunderstood?

That just means the mod hasnt been updated since 1.15, it doesnt mean it's not compatible with newer patches.

I'm pretty sure the mod should be compatible with the newer patches, even if the game says otherwhise when you select it. Do tell me if it's not the case though (aka if there are bugs).

@U9DATE I do still prefer the current way Danzig or War works. But if it's any consolation, on ahistorical the German AI is much more likely to actually demand Danzig.

Also, I patched the issue you stumbled on, now there should be a second check in place right as the Soviets declare war.

@ArchiTheLobster I feel like Poland should still get an option to accept German demands and delay the war briefly and on historical they always say no, just so the player can have more options. If you prefer against it that's fine, I just think Poland should at least have a choice. As for the second thing I joined the allies 2 days in, as that's when I got the faction invite

@U9DATE The first thing you pointed out is normal. Upon completing the Danzig or War focus, Germany gets a choice to actually demand Danzig or immediatly gain a wargoal, the latter being what they will do on historical. (IRL there never was a Danzig or War, the Germans did somewhat engage in negociations but made sure they went nowhere in order to justify an invasion. By that point, Hitler WANTED a war.)

About your second issue: I think that what happened is that you took too long to join the Allies after the German declaration of war. If you wait over 5 days after the start of war before joining the faction (which is around the time the Soviet AI will take to select the decision to join in), you will not be registered as being part of a faction and as such the game won't kick you out. (I just did a test run, joined as soon as I could and it worked, so i'm assuming it's that.)

But yep, I'll look into a way to fix that. Shouldn't be too hard...

@ArchiTheLobster Unfortunately there are major bugs when playing as Poland. As Poland, I never got a decision to accept or reject German demands for Danzig, it automatically denied. And when the Soviets invaded, it didn't kick me from the Allies, I got to stay in and even call the UK into war with the Soviets. It works fine when Poland is an AI however, not as a player.

At long last, the mod is back! I initially made it quite a while ago now, when I was still somewhat new and inexperienced to hoi4 modding, so it had a lot of flaws that led to me leaving it aside.

Goodbye spaghetti code, unnecessarily convoluted event chains and half-baked mechanics! Hopefully I won't have too many bugs to patch... and it won't take me months to do it.

Hey, I've got an issue. So, as Poland, after you capitulate, you cannot deploy units, trade and stuff, like the game doesn't see you as a capitulated country. Do you plan on repairing it?

is it Okay with you if i use a couple files from this mod to make it more compatible with my own mod? it's due to custom states in eastern Poland that aren't annexed by the USSR.

NightKore, yes if you follow the historical path you're supposed to renegociate the pact after the fall of Poland.
To be precise, to end up with the Soviets getting Białystok and the Germans getting Lublin as historically: as the Soviets you must claim both states during the initial negociations and then have Germany capture Lublin during the invasion of Poland. Once Poland capitulates, if the Germans claimed Wilno, you will have an event to either ask the Germans for Lublin or tell them that they can keep it in exchange for Wilno.
There are other ways to do it but this particular one is the one the ai will try to take on historical mode.
