Weird "bug" happened to me today,
Loaded up a colony as normal, Almost all bits found in the "pipe networks" tab had vanished, For some reason they are all now in different menus E.G. The "gas sun lamp" is now found in the "furniture" tab.

So i found an interesting bug, if your gravship lands on a gas geyser this apparently can cause it to...effectrively pull it along wtih. I didn't figure this out at first and thought it was just weird luck i landed on a gas vent 3 times, but when that part of the ship was off in the middle of space and gas was still spewing out, i realized it must erroneously be able to connect itself to gravship foundation and just be pulled along for the ride until i fill it in (or maximize the cheese and build a pump on it)

@hurikeŋ You can spawn the geysers in dev mode with Spawn Thing>then search for VHGE_GasGeyser

I added this mod mid-safe, so i´m lacking the infinite pocket. I struggle to find information about these pockets. How big are they in tiles. And where can i find them in the debug actions menu to spawn a pocket or create one myself?

Just a heads up for those using this on their ships with Odyssey, if you have something like a piece of pipe not connected and get the warning 'No connected storage' you wont be able to take off, fixing the issue allows you to take off.

So, industrial generators require VFE_IndustrialGenerators research, but where do you get this?
Is it from VFE power? It's not listed as a requirement.

don't suppose we could get some more tie-ins with other vanilla expanded things? i'd love to have gas powered soup production, for example, since soups are extremely vulnerable to solar flares.

nevermind it was just a corrupted deep resource grid, although the deep helixien overlay still falsely flags pockets it's just a visual bug so it's mostly fine

I think that although I can toggle gas pocket visibility I still have to scan and locate it before it registers for me to be able to use it, but I may be wrong

Has anyone had an issue with trying to place a helixien pump on an infinite gas pocket but it saying that there's nothing there? I was able to place it on a geyser but not one of the buried pockets.

Doesn't count for rooms. An electric or fueled stove will make a room into a Kitchen, but a Gas Powered stove will not.

@TioTrix There are a few geysers (infinite) and a few infinite pockets (which can sometimes accomodate >1 extractor), and you can also deep scan for more finite deposits. Each extractor can support 4 industrial generators (which is a lot)

The gas itself can't be used as vehicle fuel, so you'll have to actually make chemfuel. There is a gas-powered refinery but its bills are the same - it just uses Helixien Gas instead of power.

I am posting this message across all of our mods because many people seem to have forgotten about it:

- We do not check comment sections for bug reports. There is simply too many mods and too many comments section to keep track of it.

They took that out forever ago, but also... yes. Prisons just aren't the same without the threat of gassing folks. Would also be really cool with anomaly.

The Automated Efficiency only applies on production that is connected to electricity directly, Because your pawns work better in things that they get help from the bench (headcanon at least)

Being connected to Helixien Gas means that the stove works like a Wood fueled stove, meaning that its not automatized, and you are probably getting a debuff instead

In short: The speed bonus only works on electric stuff, in anything else it's a debuff

I noticed that the gas-powered stove does not get the 50% speed bonus from the "Automated Efficiency: Increased" precept from "VE: Memes & Structures", whereas the electric stove does. Is that intentional, or just an oversight?

@Oskar - Your Gas Powered Generator lacks the new "Stunnable" comp added in 1.5 that the other generators now have. It also lacks an ambient sound. Is this an intended feature for Helexien Gas , or just an oversight?

"Gas wall lamps" seem to not use the relatively new wall mounted feature like other wall lamps do. Is it because of some sort of limitation with gas pipes?

Please! Add an option in the settings to turn off the "No storage connected" notification for the gas! I have my whole colony hooked up to electricity with gas lighting and coolers as emergency backups, but when the valve is turned off I have 30+ lamps complaining about no storage connected which is really annoying.

So this is a mod where you can make gas and gas-powered generators and gas pipes. You know what gas pipes do? Leak, they leak and you don't know about it until you're in immediate danger, and I think that'd be a sick drawback to using this stuff, since it's all upsides as far as I'm aware.

While it can be added to a saved game, infinite gas deposits are not generated.

On one hand, I feel like this is completely useless if you have Chemfuel Expanded, aside from theming.
On the other hand, Chemfuel Expanded is so completely busted that I'm considering replacing it with this in future playthroughs.

Not a bug so I'm not using the google doc (because it also doesn't need a log), but just FYI the text "Research the helixien gas and it's ability to act as a combustible fuel" in the research tree has incorrect grammar. it should be "**its** ability". "It's" isn't a possesive. It's a contraction so the text says "it is ability".

Honestly, the amount of required busybody to submit one makes just spawning geysers with dev mode easier instead of reporting bugs with the infinite gas pocket. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks for your work maintaining VE mods though.

i'm also getting the issue mentioned below where all deposits of anything found by the deep scanner thing no longer are visible, i have to hover around where the alert sent me to to find exactly where it is, and can't find this 'infinite' pocket anywhere
