Fantastic mod, love these guns!

Works as intended in 1.5, the only thing that needs to be changed is the supported version number. But you can do that yourself in less than a minute.

Excited for this to get updated, used in nearly all my damn load orders.
Would be neat if it had matching turrets too but we cant have it all !

Hi, I've translated this mod to Simplified Chinese. Here's the page.

Also I think the energy precision rifle and revolver are a bit under-powered, they are not significantly different from the vanilla ones. Especially the precision rifle's long rang accuracy is worse than sniper rifle, making it more like a flintlock than a precision rifle. Hope you'll re-balance them in future versions. Anyway, it's a great mod.

I'd like to enjoy this mod, but in spite of that there are some questionable design decisions in terms of stats. All the weapons do the same damage, with the same penetration, for instance. This makes the revolver and precision rifle almost pointless as the rifle does far more damage in a way that far outstrips the use of the others.

I was wondering if I could make a version with the new sounds I've made for this mod, and send it to you. I've been playing with the sounds I've made myself for a while but I feel like others deserve to listen to 'em too!

Oh, no I meant shields as in historical style, or modern riot shields.
I can use some pistols with them, but a lot of mod ones I cant. Could be something added by a mod mind, it gets hard to remember what is vanilla and what isn't these days.

I can lower it if you want, also, @Hinty, do you mean VE shields? Because the vanilla shield pack doesn't allow pawns to use ranged weapons while using them.

Is the 4s warmup/aiming time on the Energy rifle intended? That's longer than even the precision rifle's 3s time.

Also, something every gun mod I've tried so far seems to miss. Would be cool if the Revolver could be set to be used with shields.

Like the idea of weapons that fill the gap between gunpowder and charge BUT, the problem is there is no research requirement.
So, if you unlock Machining research, you can make all the energy guns you want, but you need to unlock at least 1 more tech after that to get basic gunpowder guns, and up to three or four more techs for the more complex guns.

Concept is great, they look great. Just need to slip something in the tech tree.

About CE compatible - yes, both mods work together BUT (very-very big BUT) this weapon not have ammo and, ofc, dosen't shoot. Btw, I don't test if turn on the autopatcher function, maybe it will assign some "standard" caliber, I don't know.

Is this mod not actually compatible with 1.3? Nothing is there, the log spits out error regarding not finding references to ThingDefs and ,well, the 1.3->Defs->Weapons is completely empty.

Either it is meant to be compatible and something got messes up, or it is not meant to be and not properly tagged etc.
Either way, I believe it warrants mentioning.
