IIRC what makes them spawnable is the tech level tags. I may be wrong about that. But yeah mod-added stuff with the correct tags typically do spawn for better or worse. In some cases you may not even want it (like with unique costumes) but it does anyway.

Anyway mod looks good! I'll go test it out in game later heheh.
